ATH: 3 out of 4 buy Brewers; PTI: Prostate Exams At MP?

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Tue May 8, 2007 9:20 pm

Paige, Mariotti, and McMullen bought the Crew as a legitimate contender. The only person who disagreed was J.A. Adande. He argued that "Capuano won't finish undefeated, Coco will blow a save, and Jenks and Mench will cool off." He sees the Cubbies winning the NLCD.

After getting cut from the show, he said "I guess I'll have to go to Milwaukee for the free prostate examinations...MOONSHINE!"

I didn't find it surprising that Adande didn't buy the Crew, but I found it a breath of fresh air to hear him getting laughed off for doing so.

National attention, folks!

EDIT: PTI is talking about the Prostate exams at MP too.

I loved how Brian and Bill were talking about the prostate exams and Bill said "I'll be participating." Brian then jokingly said "In what form?" Bill said "Well, I'll be getting one." Brian then said "Oh, I was worried that you were gonna be..." stopped because he realized where he was heading. I was dying

You have to give credit where credit is due for the Brewers, but everyone needs to remember that there is NO winning tradition with the Brewers at all, at any point in the teams existance. That doesn't mean it can't happen, but I can understand why people are skeptical about the Brew Crew.

History is irrelevant unless you're comparing identical rosters. People have been predicting this crop of talent (Weeks, Hardy, Fielder, Hart among others) to be good to great ML players for a while. They would have won the division last year without injuries.

The Brewers were bad forever because they were cheap and were awful with management. That hasn't been the case since Melvin took over and this success has been seen by most for a while.

And how does a Cub fan bash the Brewers for "being bad for a while". You've done nothing in 100 goddam years.

Brewers are legit. They won't win 111 games like their current pace, but they are here and here to stay for at least the next 4-5 seasons.

What the **** have the Cubs done the last 100 years? The past means something regarding the current team, quick somebody call the Pirates. The division is there for the taking!

Most of the people that go on ATH are smart, one named J.A does not fit in.

I dont really think that theres anything wrong with what Ruben said there. The Brewers are a surprise. I mean just check out the last page of the game thread. If the teams fans are surprised by their accomplishment, then doesnt it make sense that the rest of the nation is going to be even more surprised by it?

Yeah, I usually agree with JA. In fact, I think he only chose to go against the Crew because he wanted to be the only one with a differing opinion.

Mariotti may come off as dumb, but he's usually right on as well.

And as much as they make fun of Paige, he makes a lot of sense as well.

The only person who I really think is an idiot is Tim Cowlishaw.

Mariotti is a jerk. I have a hard time listening to anything Michael Smith says. I'm pretty sure he used his 30 seconds the other day to say that 50 Cent had a positive message for the youth of America. Wow.

I like Adande, but he's probably just riding the Dodgers' jock.

this (imo) sums up the ATH crew:

J.A.- descent.
Michael Smith- knows what hes talking about most of the time.
Kevin Blackistone- i dont mind the guy.
Tim Cowlishaw- The biggest ass-clown on that show.
Jackie Mcmullin- She knows what shes talking about.
Woody Paige- You got to like the guys personality, and he makes a good case for himself.
Bill Pashke- i dont care for the guy.
Jay Marioti- all this guy does is yell at his screen.

Tony Realli- better then Max Kellerman ever was.
