Maybe he meant

Not saying Orton would be the answer for the Vikings, but we can't hold on to Favre and hes prob gonna be a last minute thing again this year. I wouldn't mind Wallace on this team. I remember the Vikings were in talks with the Browns not too long ago.

Didn't know about Anderson, Cutler I totally forgot about the trade that sent him to Chicago.

No I actually thought Anderson was still with the Browns, thats why I was cofused that they got Delhomme. The remark about Cutler I posted above.

I just really want a QB...Maybe McNabb :)

As long as Favre is likely to come back, McNabb isn't an option. We may draft a QB, but it's doubtful we'll sign or trade for one.

Lito Sheppard? 29 yrs old. Does he have another year or two in the tank?

That could be a short term fix at CB while Griffin heals and Allen gets more experience, and allow the Vikings to look elsewhere in the draft.

This is starting to get me worried. I really didn't want a QB in the 1st round but it's starting to look like we're going in that direction.

If Claussen fell to 30, then OK... but I agree with you WG.

This team is close. Just need to fill in a few weaknesses and depth issues. Tebow or McCoy in the 1st would not help this team get to the SB in the next few years (neither would Claussen but at least imo he's a long term starting nfl Qb - I'm not so sure about the others).

Secondary, OLine, DLine, ILB, RB could all use help. Come on Vikings.

(Edit)- Just saw Ic's final mock for the Vikings -- uggggg. Let's hope not.

also word that we're hunting Haynesworth via Pioneer Press? I wouldn't mind dumping McKinnie on the Skins for Haynesworth

That would be a strange trade. I'm not a big McKinnie fan, but we don't have another LT and I like Haynesworth, but we've already got the Williams.

I want to be proactive in maintaining our defensive line dominance though and I Pat is too old. The o'line looked so bad last year that I find it hard to sweat losing Mckinnie, he's been overrated ever since he started holding out before he even put on a uniform. I'm not a big fan of the McKinnie Mountain

I don't disagree, Haynesworth for McKinnie would be great value but I don't think Washington would do it, and I'm still hestitant to trade McKinnie with no plan B at LT. Draft picks would seem to make more sense for both teams, at least they would have before the draft. I don't know if Washington would be interested in 2011 picks.

ESPN - The Vikings have signed running back Ryan Moats as insurance behind starter Adrian Peterson.

Moats rushed for 390 yards and four touchdowns in 2009.
