True, but a mid-year break for Favre would be ideal. Week 8 or 9. Too bad.

don't like the early bye either, and the middle is rough

but the end looks easy we'll see if it stays that way

Wk 5-10 will be huge. Tough teams, gotta beat the Jets, Pats, and Packers at least

The bye helps Rice.

I "happy" with getting NO in the first game. It will be a hard game but its better to get them off the bat when Offense unit is not up to speed & typically defensive units are better (as that will be the vikes key to the game)... Also we can ease Favre into the season by running the ball more (which I think its the best route against NO)
