The way it looks now, the Vikings' priority signings are Chad Greenway and Sidney Rice, both of whom could become free agents this spring depending on how the NFL labor issue turns out.
Then, Adrian Peterson is expected to receive a five-year contract in the $50 million range, with at least half guaranteed.
Secondary signing considerations would seem to be Ryan Longwell and Brian Robison. And it wouldn't be surprising if the Vikings released Madieu Williams and Bernard Berrian.
Greenway and Rice are obviously must-signs. I agree with giving AP an extention, which at this point seems pretty much like an obvious move. I also would agree to signing Longwell since he is a top kicker in the league.
Robison and Edwards will both become free agents, and personally, I would rather sign Robison. Robison is a solid end, which is really all we need at that position right now. Edwards will want more money than Robison, but really he isn't much better.
If we sign all of these guys, our problems will be minimized and our priorities will be the secondary and the O-Line, which they should be.
