Week 3: Lions v Vikings- Noon

Post#1 » by hermes » Thu Sep 22, 2011 1:52 pm

Lions 2-0
Vikings 0-2

i'm scared of this lions team, they have looked pretty good thus far and their offense is amazing. this is probably not going to be a great game for us. not sure how well our defense is going to stop them (hopefully better than the chiefs)

only hope is that our offense does what it did in the first half against the bucs, effective running, precise throws from mcnabb and methodically marching down the field

First time the Lions have been favored in the Metrodome in 30 years.

The Lions offense is good but not amazing in my opinion. They only scored one more touchdown then we did against the Bucs. Also, the 21 points they scored against the worst looking team in the NFL (Chiefs) in the 4th quarter at home in garbage time doesn't make them great. They are only averaging 3.3 YPC from their running game. It seems like this is a one dimensional team at the moment. I think the Vikings secondary is also better then the Lions, and as we all know thats not saying too much.

I do think this will be a close game with the Vikings edging the Lions at home.

i don't even know what to say, same story all over again- way too many second half mistakes

kudos to jared allen and the defense at the end of regulation though, nice effort

and why on 3rd and 1 in the third and 4th and 1 in the fourth quarter are we not giving the ball the adrian peterson- the best player on our team- that's what i want to know

after AP waived longwell off the field i would have bet the farm that he was getting the ball :noway:
