Ponder's first win

Post#1 » by hermes » Sun Oct 30, 2011 8:49 pm

so it was an iffy game, figured we'd have more trouble with newton running but we really shut them down late in the game (except for the last drive)

finally got the running game going which is nice (thanks toby!) and i liked what i saw from ponder today, seems pretty comfortable, knows what he wants to do out there and if things go bad he tries to make the best out of it (minimizing damage)

I'm not sure how I feel about Ponder yet. He still doesn't look comfortable in the pocket and his arm isn't great but I'm encouraged that he's done so well converting 3rd downs and that he was able to engineer a game winning drive yesterday. Overall the offense has looked much better with him at QB instead of McNabb, but that's not a huge compliment.
