Kennedy got knocked around a bit in his first start in AA, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits in 7 innings. While the 6 runs are ugly, Kennedy did strike out 7 and allowed only 1 walk, so there are some positives to take away from thi performance. There is definitely room for improvement.

Montero teared a ligament in his ankle and could possibly miss the entire GCL season :(

for 17 year old prospects w/ higher upside I get that way, for a bust in Giambi I don't, Dougie Fresh I miss his D. Montero's upside is giagantic and we may lose him for the season that's a year longer before he reaches the Bronx. Yes I reiterate

Funny to call Giambi a bust...we don't win game 7 in 2003 without him

Agreed, Giambi is not a bust.

He hasn't been what we expected, and he's brought alot of controversy here, but he hasn't been a bust.

I can't provide you that info on Corona but I hear he is playing 2B and SS. Maybe utility is in his future. I agree Juan Miranada needs to be promoted. He is dominating, he is 23 and he got a big 2 year deal. We need to see what he has to make sure it was worth it and what not. -Jitpal

Hey NYKnStill, your boy wasn't on either of the DSL rosters :) . I would assume he is going to be playing in the GCL in a week.

Reggie Corona is a 2B/SS who is struggling defensively at shortstop.

From Pinstripes Plus

Projection: The fact that Corona has gained strength over the years and still possesses the type of frame that could add on even more useful muscle mass puts his projection somewhere in between a utility prospect and a starting second baseman, depending on how much more he fills out. As far as he has come in his power game he still needs to make more significant progress in that area to become a legitimate starting second base prospect. Until that time, with his defensive versatility, speed, switch-hitting ability, and approach at the plate, Corona is one of the Yankees' top utility prospects.

He is adept at walking, he'll hit for a high average, but his power is in question...
