How about Johnny Maine

Post#1 » by blueNorange » Thu Apr 5, 2007 3:06 am

King Omaahhhh strucked again by trading for him ... a 25 year old who just found his nitch. 7 strong innings, 6 k's, and 1 hit allowed. Not to mention he's under contract for 4 more years(not including this year). Maine reminds me of Carpenter ... their teams gaved up on them to early and flourished afterwards.
LOL Y U MAD THO?

To be fair Carpenter had surgery and was a FA no? Either way Maine has been great for us. Im sure somewhere Anna Benson is crying inside...

He was throwing alot of strikes out there. He seemed dominant abd in command for most of the game. He also seems really calm out there which is a big mental plus.

Awesome awesome performance by Johnny....

For all the hate our starting staff was getting from critics, it was truly a great pitching job by our top 3 to sweep the cards...

Now lets hope Oli + Pelfry can continue
Move Randle and we are chip ready !
