good news is that the offense is playing really well

not well enough, but man it looks good (and we'd be in great shape against mortal teams). cousins is really good

This defense is a debacle.

Seriously we’ve never had this type of defensive performance with Zimmer as our head coach.

Only thing I can think of is the NFC championship game. Even worse coming off the Bills debacle. I wouldn't have expected us to be as good as we were last year -- the third-down success was unsustainable -- but we've looked legit BAD.

Too bad because the offense has been really good, even the line (protection, at least). Diggs and Thielen are such an incredible combo. Our best since Moss/Carter.

Well, we won. That was more unpleasant than it had to be at the end, but it helps make up for the Buffalo game.

I’m not sure what to make of the division right. Bears have looked good, Packers have looked mediocre, the Lions started poorly but now have 2 good wins in a row.

also congrats to thielen for being the first ever to start the year with 5 straight 100+ yard games

crazy that the record is only 5, figured it would have been more. good for thielen anyway

Bottom line seems to be, none of these games will be gimmies. Which sucks. You usually hope for at least one team you can guarantee a couple of wins. Although I guess as the Bills showed, there's no such thing.

Oh well -- if you'd told me we'd be 2-2-1 through five games, as tough as the schedule was, I might have taken it. Wouldn't have expected us to get there the way we did -- get punked at home by Buffalo, win in Philly -- but it definitely could have been worse.

Good to see the defense finally show some signs of life, but the complete lack of a run game is going to be a big, big problem moving forward. Not sure how that gets fixed given the state of our line.

I will never not shake my head in wonder how we assembled the best WR tandem in football with a 5th round pick and an undrafted free agent, while blowing two 1st rounders at the same time. I guess I shouldn't be greedy given the nature of the NFL's hard cap, but if we'd hit on just one of those...

should also mention hunter, has a sack in each game so far. and he's switched over to the right side with griffen out (so he's the focus now)

o'neill's been in a far bit thus far this season, think he's doing ok?

line might have been a little better after reiff went out with the injury
