LB I'm ok with - Barr/Brinkley/Greenway are probably set in stone with the Penn State guys and Cole behind them. Nothing special, but not sure anybody 5th round or later has much chance of breaking in on that. I'm also still hopeful on Mauti being a potential starting talent. Guard has been picked clean, probably have better luck on some aging free agent cut. Secondary needs the most help. Safety and a 3rd quality corner. Probably not much to count on at CB, but a couple decently rated SS's still on the board as of this typing.

I don't think we need more linebackers

i wish the nfl draft was like the nba draft where they swap players after they're drafted. The activity would be endless.

Sounds like a project. Only 10 career receptions!!!??? Also, played some games at quarterback. Remind me of joe webb. Not a big fan of this pick.

In nine starts this year, 5 at QB and 4 at RB.

On concerns over 10 catches, Georgia Southern runs the triple option. RBs don't catch a lot of passes.

You still like to see it in games. You don't know how he catches the ball until you see it in game situations.

It sounds like he's more of an offensive weapon than a pure running back. I'll take it though if he's as explosive as they say. I love the guys who can take a 5 yard swing pass and turn it into an 80 yard touchdown.

Damn, too bad Vereen couldnt make it to our pick

I'd be okay with drafting another linebacker, who will start there in the future?

Barr is locked in at one LB spot. I'm okay with the rest of our LB corps manning the other two spots.

We don't have anything special at MLB. If there's one we like we should take him.

If David Fales is still there in the 6th, I'd be tempted.

Unlike the Tampa-2, Zimmer's defense isn't reliant on a special MLB.

Brinkley and Greenway are very mediocre starters. Maybe we'll grab someone in FA next year, but someone is going to have to take their tarting spots.

And we won't find someone special this late in the draft, but we might find someone better than what we have.

David Yankey was a great pick. Say goodbye to Charlie Johnson.

Mediocre in the Tampa-2, yes

Eactly! Having a great front four also helps out linebackers, and we seem to have that. Plus, one would think that Audie Cole or Mauti would be a starter over Brinkley.

Traded to Carolina for a 5th round and a 7th round. So we dropped 20 spots and only picked up a 7th.

Yankey is a great pick. Wouldn't surprise me if he was starting half way into the season. Also, gotta like this! http://thevikingage.com/2014/05/09/cord ... wild-game/
