I think we trade back to select defense and then trade back into the first to select a QB.

So probably Dennard and Bridgewater if both are available when we're picking.

If we stay at 8. I think we either get Manziel, Mack, or Donald. Trade back, it's either Dennard or Teddy B.

whats the story on mike evans? i wouldn't think we'd go wr that early - one because we don't need to and two there hasn't been a shining history of top wr picks working well

I'm worried about them looking too hard at which QB "fits the system"... um, **** the system? get the best player.
Dalton probably fits the system better than Kaepernick, doesn't mean you should take red rocket.

It seems like they've done their due diligence. I have my faith in Norm making sure we get this right.

Ponder was just like Flynn. A total reach at the time by a GM trying to outsmart everyone. Hopefully that disaster put Spielman's ego in check and he'll listen to Norm's input on this one.

Norv has the reputation of a QB guy, but I don't think he's ever been a part of a team who drafted a franchise QB. I like the top 4 this year though better than I liked Ponder. Even Carr wouldn't be the same type of reach.

Next year is supposed to be even more QB deep, no? In that sense, I wouldn't even mind waiting til the 3rd round to take a QB.

Maybe the smart play is to trade back far enough to get an extra #1 next year, if possible. Draft a QB in the 3rd round. Ride Cassel this year. Develop the 3rd rounder this year. Maybe he pans out to be a starter next year, but if not, then you got two first rounders in a loaded QB draft next year. Hundley, Winston, Mariotta, Petty. I think all those guys might rank ahead of the QBs in this draft.

You never know how a draft class is going to turn out, but even if they're all good, it doesn't matter if we don't have a chance to draft them. Hundley, Winston, and Mariota all have another year of eligibility after next year, and even if they come out it doesn't matter if they all go in the top 10 and we're picking 15th.

So probably Dennard and Bridgewater if both are available when we're picking.

If they swing that, I would be thrilled. I'd also be good with one of the LBs instead of Dennard.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Ditto. I think that's my hope right now. I'd hope for any of Donald, Gilbert, Dennard, Mosley, or Shazier. Then I think I've settled on Bridgewater as my favorite as the QB. Granted I drunkenly watch about two or three USC football games a year, and that's the extent of my college football knowledge.

I'm 50/50 on Mosley but if we ended up with him I wouldn't be pissed. There are worse prospects.

I'd be pissed if Mosley ended up being our only pick on the first day. He is probably the one person I think we should stay away from.
