Adrian played well, defense played well. Offense couldn't capitalize.

we don't make big plays and Favre doesn't look focused or motivated. The downfield passing game isn't scaring anyone

Nobody on offense is making plays. Favre isn't accurate, the receivers aren't getting open or making tough catches, and while Peterson looks good he doesn't look like the breakaway back that he used to be. The run defense doesn't look the same either. We need Vincent Jackson, for no other reason than we need a spark.

Hugely disappointed that both Peterson (3 cracks at the end zone) nor Favre (3 cracks at getting a 1st down) couldn't execute in the final 3 minutes.
And an "F" for Chilly on the play calling. That 2nd and goal from the 4 was ideal for a play action. Plus, I don't think I saw 1 draw, or screen(rb, wr or te), against the Miami hyper-aggressive D. Fire Chill, promote Leslie Frazier before he is lost like Tomlin.
The D has been standing on its head, giving the O chances to win in both games so far.
I say do a Vincent Jackson deal. 5 mil this year and 9 next year, all guaranteed (with caveat for the DUIs like Allen). It looks like he'd be eligible to return in wk 6 (gm 5) meaning he'd have several weeks to learn the playbbok. Rice should return a few weeks after that. Plus it is total insurance should Harvin be unable to go.
A 2nd and 5th should reportedly get it done.
Here's why: Berrian is owed 7 million next year BUT has been paid all guaranteed money so he could be let go in the offseason with nothing owed. That 7 could pay for most of Jackson's salary (he's asking for 9-10). Finding a new QB next offseason (McNabb, Vick, etc) armed with Jackson, Rice, Harvin, Shancoe, and Peterson... Should be an attractive landing spot for a QB.
Vikings need to make the bold move to save the season. The D is SB quality.
