10 rookies seems like a lot, but it's hard for me to comment without seeing the full roster.

10 Rookies seems like a lot, but when you combined that with us losing our free agents + naturally original bench players becoming starters + not wanting them picking off the practice squad I think its reasonable.
Christian Ponder - Lock
Kyle Rudolph - Lock
Emmanuel Arceneaux, not much news on him but I personally like him over Greg Camrillo - Very possible PS material
DeMarcus Love - must be on the 53
Brandon Fusco - necessary backup Center
Christian Ballard - Gotta put him on the 53, else he will get picked off PS
D'Andre Reed - possible for PS, but with K Will suspended they make keep him on the 53
Ross Homan - alot of good things have been said about him, and with no Leber I think he makes it
Mistral Raymond - possible PS material
Brandon Burton - really think he wont be placed on PS
Minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 rookies should make it IMO.

Fusco will have to compete with Jon Cooper for backup center and Arceneaux will also have to compete with Devin Aramshodu (as well as Camarillo) at receiver. Of course I know almost nothing about these guys. I like to watch preseason before I comment on late round picks and rookie free agents.

Who wants to try and predict our Pre-season Starting Lineman for the OL in the 3rd Game?
LT - Charlie Johnson (DeMarcus Love)
LG - Steve Hutchinson (Ryan Cook)
C - John Sullivan (Brandon Fusco)
RG - Anthony Herrera (Chris DeGeare)
RT - Phil Loadholt (Scott Kooistra)
Not saying thats my favorite line or best line, but I can see them rolling with this.
Testing out Anthony Herrera with the 1st team is in order also.

I understand that a lot of people are really high on Jaymar Johnson but he hasn't shown anything in pre-season that tells me he should make the 53 man roster.
Kooistra to IR with vertebra injury, season over, career?
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Scott Kooistra looked on Saturday night like he could be the Minnesota Vikings' right guard.
Two days later, his season is over and his career perhaps in jeopardy.
Kooistra suffered a "pretty serious injury" to his neck in the Vikings' preseason game against Seattle and has been placed on injured reserve, coach Leslie Frazier said after Monday's practice.
His agent, Joe Linta, said in an email on Monday evening that Kooistra is in stable condition with movement in all of his appendages. It is believed Kooistra suffered an injury to the C-2 vertebra near the top of his spinal cord, Linta said, but he is awaiting an MRI.
"It was a play where he was pulling and just really got his neck jammed," Frazier said of Kooistra, a 30-year-old Madison native who spent eight seasons as a backup in Cincinnati and Baltimore before signing a one-year deal with the Vikings last month.
"Came to the sideline, was in pain, really couldn't move left or right, and in the process of evaluation postgame, they just told us it was a very significant neck injury, we're going to probably lose him for quite a while, and he's still in Seattle, going through the evaluation process."
Injuries to the cervical vertibrae can result in paralysis, loss of diaphragm function and other permanent conditions. But Frazier said Kooistra was walking after the injury, and the early reports on his condition seem positive.
In fact, the play that meets Frazier's description came on second-and-1 from the Seahawks' 15-yard line in the second quarter. Kooistra pulled through the left side and was met by hard-charging Seattle linebacker Aaron Curry, who appeared to stick his helmet into Kooistra's chest. Yet Kooistra finished the final three snaps of the series before departing with the rest of the Vikings' first-string offensive line.

Jaymar Johnson really didnt do much in the 2nd pre-season game as they were getting a look at Marcus Sherels. Marcus played adequately with good tackles and the interception. Big minus was the fumble and how he held the ball away from his chest.
My bet is that Johnson will get time in the 3rd game. Likely at combinations of WR/PR/KR.
Bernard Berrian - not sure what is up with him, as we have not seen him out there.
Greg Camrillio is more of a slot guy and commands 2million salary. I dont think he is need at that price.
Scott Kooistra - disappointing to see him go down after a solid showing in game 2 of the preseason. OL gets more depleted for depth. I'm expecting a vet (cut) to be signed for depth.

I know a lot of guys on different Vikings forums were really hoping for Jaymar to elevate his game this year. I, myself don't know much about him other than he's got some raw talent so I hoping to see him get some extended playing time vs. Dallas.
We only had 2 offensive series with our starters vs. Seattle and I think they wanted to give some other guys some looks with Berrian being a lock already. I think we'll see more Berrian this week.
I'd probably keep Greg if it were up to me. Percy's health is always going to be something you need to keep an eye on and while Cam is not the fastest or best route runner he easily has the best hands out of anyone on our receiving corps.

Given that the OL will struggle giving McNabb enough time to allow for BB to make routes down field, I think mid-range passing WRs are more valuable to us. I'd take Cam over BB due to that reason.
I don't know if BB job is 100% secure right now, but thats just me.
