I see the Vikes finishing between 4-12 & 7-9.

This game should be one of the Ws.

I don't think AP is going to get 20 carries, but I'm thinking he should play. Haven't heard anything definite yet.

Tom Pelissero ‏@TomPelissero
Frazier says #Vikings "without question" will take Adrian Peterson decision up to Sunday.

Not surprising.

I don't think there is any question that AP is going to get into the game this Sunday. If we weren't at home I'd think maybe we save that for the home crowd, but they want butts in the seats.

It's a home opener week 1 of the season. They'll do just fine filling the seats with or without AP.

All the analysts expect AP to dress and be available to play so the fans are psyched up, but to get no work, or very little work.

We're favored by 4, I don't think that will be the case very much this year. This is an important game to win if we want to finish better than last year.

yeah momentum is huge, winning this one (and decisively if we can manage it) will go a long way to getting the ball rolling

i've been thinking a little bit about it and i think running a sort of two-qb system would be good

ponder can be the main guy, but when we need to mix it up/need a comeback we throw in our ace in the hole joe webb and let him run wild on everyone

i don't see the downside, we don't have webb out there all the time (i think he's a lot better in a part time role so people can't prepare for him as much)

vikes win! great game (well second half anyway)

they really got harvin involved in the second half which seemed to open things up for everyone, ponder looked good, ap looked good, rudolph was good

and blair walsh

defense also stepped up in the second half except for the td drive near the end

kind of alarming that the secondary got lit up so readily on those big plays at the end, but its good for ponder to get those kind of late drive reps. Blair Walsh is pretty damn clutch so far.

The Minnesota Vikings will keep Adrian Peterson on a "pitch count" of 10-15 rushes per game, according to a source.

Toby Gerhart will receive the bulk of the carries during the early part of the season as Peterson continues to strengthen his knee.

Peterson had 17 carries for 84 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' 26-23 overtime win over the Jaguars in Week 1.

expected i guess, but he already went over the 'pitch count' in the first game so we'll see how long this lasts
