week 13: vikings at packers

Post#1 » by hermes » Thu Nov 29, 2012 11:21 pm

vikings (6-5) at packers (7-4)

another week and another game against a division rival on the road coming off a really bad loss looking to get back on track. this is getting out of hand

anyway, get adrian going early and often- just don't even let ponder throw the ball in the first quarter

i don't even know how to stop green bay beyond keeping them off the field, rush the passer i guess

a win and we're tied with the pack, which is pretty crazy

GO VIKINGS

i don't know, something needs to happen

ap is on fire and we put the game in the hands of ponder who seems determined to lose it

I wish they'd give Webb at least a half to try and shake things up.

I'd like to see Webb in any capacity, WR or QB, just get him on the field. We don't have enough playmakers to just leave one on the bench.

Anyway, barring a miracle our season is pretty much over. Now we can root for Adrian to get 2000 yards.

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone who's available right now would make much of a difference.

how many sub 100 yard passing games will it take before frasier even gets joe webb to warm up?

oh he's only at 2, he made it this last game

is sub 200 still pretty bad? because he has 6 of those

At this point, I don't think Webb's going to get a shot unless Ponder gets hurt. They're committed to Ponder at least until the end of season for whatever reason.

If they bench Ponder for Webb, it makes Spielman, Frazier & co look stupid for selecting him 12th and putting all their faith in him being the franchise QB. It was stupid from the get-go but when you're already pulling him in his second season for someone like Job Webb, it makes them look bad. I also believe the Vikings don't want to admit they made a mistake and want to continue using the development excuse for at least another season.

I can see Spielman feeling that way, but I wouldn't think Frazier would be comfortable enough with his job situation to just leave Ponder out there losing games for us.

I wonder if Fraizer has job security? Maybe Spielman knows it's going to take awhile for Ponder to develop and he's alright with it as long as the team isn't playing like the Jags or Chiefs. Still risky since Spielman could can him anyways to save his own ass from Ziggy. Tough to say. It's not sitting well with the fans and I'm expecting heavy boos in this one.
