week 14: bears @ vikings

Post#1 » by hermes » Fri Dec 7, 2012 4:46 am

bears (8-4) at vikings (6-6)

well the bears are back, and we hanging onto our playoff chances by our teeth (roughest schedule to end in the league- yeesh)

run the ball, that is about it, bears are turnover generating machines and i don't even know if i'm comfortable with ponder even handing the ball off- joe webb needs to be involved even as just a wr for at the very least a distraction

get after cutler, and do something about brandon marshall he killed us last time

GO ADRIAN (and vikings)

It's at home and the Bears are wounded so I think we've got a shot.

Ponder is such a zero. It's like being in a sword fight to the death with one hand tied behind your back. Makes what Peterson is doing this season even more impressive.

I'm not sure if I like Adrian carrying the ball so much. It might get us more wins in the short-term but heavy carries seems to have a negative long-term affect on guys. We spent a 2nd round pick on Gerhardt, let him take some of the load off.
It's also pretty ridiculous that we've gotten to the point where we're afraid to let Ponder throw the ball. Just put Joe Webb already.

It's do or die from here on out. I'd love to see us extend the season next week against the Rams but we're terrible on the road. At least it's in a dome so maybe we've got a shot.

yeah i think the rams game is pretty winnable

it was good to see gerhart in there, and we should use him more. putting in joe webb would i think reduce ap's load because he can run and we might even throw it more

i just saw the stats for this game and i can believe we had less than 250 total yards, ponder didn't get 100 again

i don't even know anymore- rudolph his supposed go-to guy now that percy is gone didn't have a catch. its bad when the announcers say jenkins had a nice game and he goes 4 catches for 36 yards

does anyone end up with more receiving yards or catches than percy this year?

Rudolph needs 17 catches and 265 yards in 3 games. It's possible but I think very unlikely, and that's a little sad.
