Fantasy Football Thread

Post#1 » by Twolf16 » Mon Sep 2, 2013 10:28 pm

Looking for advice. I have Dez Bryant and Cobb as my starting two WR's and Hakeem Nicks as my flex. I also have Torrey Smith and I am wondering if I should put him in my flex instead of Nicks but really unsure.

probably nicks over smith but its close

but i might consider not starting cobb because of san frans defense, denver's isn't at full strength so smith might be worth the start

The points are also per reception and right now I have Nicks out because his projected score is lower.
Also who should my starting quarterback be? Ryan (who is currently) or Stafford? No negative points for interceptions in this league. I'm not too sure about Vikes secondary as of now, so I'm thinking Stafford but Ryan just feels safe.

Who should I start as my flex? Torrey Smith, Hakeem Nicks, or Eddie Royal? Smith has scored about 2 points more than nicks each game but both have been solid. Waiting for one to break out. I just picked up royal and he has scores likes 30 points the past 2 weeks but I'm afraid if I start him, he will play bad (don't know enough about him). Also it's a ppr league.

royal i think could be good but he needs to prove it more before i'd consider starting him over those two

even though ravens are at home, i'm leaning toward nicks because the panthers d isn't as good as houston's - but its really close, probably couldn't go wrong with either

Should I go with Newton against the Falcons or Rivers against the Redskins? Newton been pretty good for me, but the Redskins give up a lot of yards through the air.

That Is a tough one. Probably can't go wrong with either but Rivers has been great this season and like you said, Redskins give up a lot of yards through the air. I think Rivers has the edge.

Think I'm going to roll with Cobb... Went to the packers forum and they convinced me.

What do you think of this possible trade? (PPR league) I send Rodgers and Cobb for Brees and Antonio Brown.
She has Lacy and I have Graham.

My first thought would be that Brees and Rodgers are interchangeable and that I'd rather have Brown than Cobb.

that's what i think too, the pack have had a slow start (but your not really selling low on them) and they'll bounce back but i think this is a fine move to make because cobb is just one of the guys that rodgers goes to while brown is the guy in pittsburgh and will have another great year

That must of felt good!

Who do I go for qb this week? Rivers or Rodgers? Both have been playing awesome. Rivers plays against the Jets and Rodgers... well you know.

What about WR? Need to pick 3.
Randall Cobb (he is a lock).
Roddy White vs Giants D
Michael Floyd vs Broncos D
Eddie Royal vs Jets D

Those bottom 3 have all played pretty good.

You have some pretty solid options.

I'd say Rodgers should be in for a good game against our secondary (did you see how wide open we left Ryan's targets open?) so I'd give him the nod, though Rivers has been playing fantastic.

Eddie Royal has been on fire for two weeks in a row. Tough to sit after those performances.

Giants pass defense is worse than ours, so White could have another strong outing.

Broncos are pretty solid defensively so I'd be hesitant to have Floyd against them although Fitz hasn't been doing squat this season so it's obvious they'll be throwing Floyd's way. I feel DEN will have a game plan to stop him.

this is exactly why i only have one qb on my roster, so i don't have to make these kind of decisions

i'd go rodgers, both will likely have really good games but rodgers has the higher potential to put up monster numbers i'd say, after last week he might be getting warmed up

for the wr's i'd go cobb, white and floyd - more reliable i think, got to be careful with royal

What do you individuals think of this trade offer I received?

I send out Fred Jackson and Markus Wheaton for Shane Vereen and Cordarelle Patterson?

I'm hesitant.
Wheaton has posted lower, but consistent scores. I think I can easily replace him. Jackson on the other hand, has been a solid bench running back who I can plug in and still got some production.

Patterson has been underwhelming after the first game, but maybe the Vikes can get him the ball more. And don't know much about Vereen.

vereen catches the ball a lot but there are enough rbs in new england that he won't get a ton of carries - and with the pats being kind of a mess i don't know how that will all play out over there

personally i am going to start looking to move patterson in my league, he's the decoy now and i don't know how long it take before others start stepping up enough for defenses to stop keying in on him so much
