every week i'm more impressed with this team, holding a hot atlanta team with all those weapons to 3 field goals? at home? wow

this defense is really legit

offense did just enough, keenum was pretty much perfect

Now tied with Philly for the best record in the NFC. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but how huge would it be if the Vikes can get home field for the entire playoffs.

Was at the game -- really solid performance. My favorite quality of this team is how we don't beat ourselves. That's much, much harder to do than it sounds. I covered high school football in San Antonio for many years. The best team in the area built their program around not turning the ball over and winning the field position game -- basic stuff, but again, not nearly as easy as it seems. The Vikings remind me of them. (Incidentally, Andrew Sendejo played there.)

What's kind of amazing is looking at the draft position of our offensive skill position guys. Keenum was undrafted, Thielen was undrafted, Diggs was taken in the 5th round and Murray was taken in the 6th round. The only 1st round player on our starting offensive unit is Riley Reiff.

Frustrating 1st half with dropped passes and dumb face masking penalties.

Hopefully our offensive line can get healthy, otherwise we might have some issues.

No question. Blow two 1st round picks on receivers, then dig a Pro Bowler off the trash heap. It's kind of frustrating, in a way. If we could have been better with our top picks over the past seven or eight years -- I rate only three of our last 10 firsts, on Smith, Barr and Rhodes as home runs -- we could be in REALLY great shape right now.

I think we made more mistakes today -- penalties, dropped passes, turnovers, blown assignments -- than we did in the entirety of the win streak. Kind of amazed we still had a chance to win. I guess you can sugar coat it by saying we gave it away, but it sure would have been nice to get that W, especially with the news about Wentz.

Had some injuries with Floyd and Bridgewater that didn’t help, but I agree that it feels like we didn’t take full advantage of our picks.

Ya this is how I felt as well. There seemed to be a few drives that we wouldve stopped but did stupid things like a facemask which kept Carolina's drives going which led to points for them. Thielen dropping a couple passes that he normally doesnt drop. Overall just seemed like an ugly game for us and weve been a pretty clean team for most of the year.

With Wentz going down and them still having one more game against Dallas, I still think we have a good shot at that #1 seed. Even if we dont and Philly keeps it, Philly in the playoffs with Foles instead of Wentz is a lot less scary.

I forgot how good Foles was three or four years ago. 27 TDs against only 2 INTs is pretty bananas. But yes, he's on a completely different level from Wentz. That guy is a complete stud who can already do pretty much everything.

yeah wentz going down opens up a lot of possibilities for the whole nfc

most important thing is getting those injured linemen back and playing well. is there any news on them?

I still think Philly is going to get home field, but Wentz going down probably gives us better shot if we play them in the postseason.
