I appreciate the effort, but you might want to rethink your format, maybe put some commentary next to the players or why you think they would be a good fit for the Vikings. Right now you're just relisting names that most of us are unfamiliar with.

Thanks for the feedback.

I guess I follow & watch to much college football. I’ll try to put some commentary.

I do relist a lot of players more for myself.

I start out at the beginning of the year and periodically shuffle and eliminate them based of need and free agency. And their play in college. ( Rasheed Penny would be huge for Vikes if he’s there still Vikes have Murray’s replacement next year)

It’s hard to lock down one player per round because we don’t know who’s going to be picked then the next round would piggy back off that.

I used First-Pick.com for the Mock Draft and didn't make any trades even though I feel like Rick will most likely trade back out of the 1st Round to acquire an extra pick(s):

30.) OG Isaiah Wynn (Plug him in at LG from Day 1 and could also play RT in an emergency. I also considered CB Jaire Alexander, TE Mike Gesicki and OG Billy Price)

62.) OT Orlando Brown (Keeps Remmers at RG and gives us a great young core of OL in Brown, Elflein & Wynn. I was very tempted by DT DaShawn Hand & RB Nick Chubb)

94.) TE Hayden Hurst (I can't imagine him falling here but is great at receiving AND run blocking. RB Rashad Penny and DT Tim Settle were other considerations here.)

167.) CB Holton Hill (Vikings apparently are very interested in Hill and you can never have too many solid CB's. FB Dimitri Flowers and OLB Hercules Mataafa also considered.)

204.) FB Dimitri Flowers (This guy is a beast and would easily beat out Ham IMO)

213.) OLB Jack Cichy (He was hurt most of the last 2 seasons but when healthy is a tackling machine.)

218.) WR Keke Coutee (WR depth to compete with Treadwell and King)

225.) ILB Nick DeLuca (Small school kid that just makes plays and would be a Special Teams wizard to start)

DeLuca was in runnings for Buckess award until his shoulder. Going to be an all-pro

Draft is coming up Thursday. I haven't gotten too into it since the Vikings are picking so close to the end of the first round, but it sounds like the Vikings will be looking for an offensive lineman and possibly be looking to trade down. Connor Williams and Isaiah Wynn sound like potential best lineman available at 30.

From what I’ve read Connor Williams is very injury prone.

1sr 30th- Milton - Henandez - Price - Wynn - Hugh - Jackson - Daniels
2nd 60th- whoever in 1st falls

If Vikes go OL in first or CB they’ll take the other position in the second.

3rd- Rashaad Penny I think he’ll be top 3 running back in draft. He’d also be an insurance policy for Cook & Murray.

3rd - Ragnow OG Arkansas he’s great in run and pass block. Adds depth at OG/OT

5th-Alex Cappa 6-7" 307 OT mallet in the second level.

6th- Wienke WR 6-3" great hands and red zone receiver

6th-Deluca -LB 6-3" 245 NDSU was in line for Butkess award

6th-Deone Harris CB - UND

I think Rashaad Penny could be the David Johnson of this years draft. Not the type of player but his impact based on where he was drafted.... 3rd round small school...

So do you have an ideal 1st round scenario? Who do you want with our first pick?

OG/OT or CB ideally...

Hernandez or Daniels in the 1st

Hugh or Jackson or which ever CB falls in the 1st, if we go CB. Then I’d hope that the Vikes move up to get Price in the 2nd. In this scenario.

1st-Hugh CB
2nd-Price C/G
3rd-R.Penny RB
5th -Capps OT
6th-DeLuca ILB/OLB - “Greenway”
6th-Wienkie WR
6th-D.Harris CB

Last three all played in NDSU, SDSU, UND...

I really don't want a corner in the first. We've already spent so much draft capital on corners over the last few years. Maybe a 3rd or 4th round pick.

I agree completely on your CB take. You can get a very good CB in the later rounds like Duke Dawson and Holton Hill to add depth. Also, there are some great TE prospects in this draft with Gesicki, Goedert and Hurst but if we use our first pick on a TE, I'm going to be very disappointed. We simply cannot continue to ignore the OL and I personally want us to use 2 of our first 3 picks on OL. My ideal draft:

1. OG Will Hernandez or Isaiah Wynn
2. CB Mike Hughes
3. OT Jamarco Jones

I would guess there is an 80% chance that Rick trades out of the 1st Round to add an extra 3rd/4th Round Pick.
