think they address defensive tackle at all? i think they probably have to, its a lot cheaper option than signing sheldon richardson long-term

They could, I don't know if they have to. I'm not sure what the depth situation is, obviously the starters are set.

I agree completely on your CB take. You can get a very good CB in the later rounds like Duke Dawson and Holton Hill to add depth. Also, there are some great TE prospects in this draft with Gesicki, Goedert and Hurst but if we use our first pick on a TE, I'm going to be very disappointed. We simply cannot continue to ignore the OL and I personally want us to use 2 of our first 3 picks on OL. My ideal draft:

1. OG Will Hernandez or Isaiah Wynn
2. CB Mike Hughes
3. OT Jamarco Jones

I would guess there is an 80% chance that Rick trades out of the 1st Round to add an extra 3rd/4th Round Pick.

I don’t exactly what this means, we have Rhodes, Waynes and Alexander. I would assume it means we don’t like Alexander or were letting Waynes walk at the end of the season.

It's been "reported" that Zimmer isn't happy with Alexander and the Vikings have yet to exercise Waynes' 5th year option that would pay him $9M per year which he certainly isn't worth. I really preferred OL Hernandez with the pick but Hughes is very talented.

there's a few ol left that i'm sure we like, but i don't know whether they make it to the end of the round

if there isn't an opportunity to move up we might not get a o-lineman this round. its a position of need but i like that they don't want to force things

Yup. The hand writing is on the wall there. With some of the extensions we're hoping to get done here, you can't be wasting money on a player like Waynes. He's gotten to the point where he's generally solid, but every dollar is going to count.

I don't pay a huge amount of attention to the draft -- it's such a jerk off -- but I've read multiple times that the guard class is thought to be pretty deep, so we're probably going to be able to get a decent prospect here in the 2nd or 3rd round.

O'Neill sounds super athletic for a tackle but kind of weak. Cammo had him mocked to us right before the draft, so it seems like he went right around where he was supposed to go.

yeah its interesting they went with a couple of project-type picks so far. i mean i guess we're the take that as "we have a really good team right now"

getting ready to replace some people a couple years down the road isn't a bad thing i guess - hopefully the interior line is figured out anyway

today i'm looking for a dt and another interior lineman to compete in camp. i don't know what else, linebacker? tight end?

he seems crazy athletic, from the clips i've seen he moves tremendously well

iowa's converted some tight ends to tackles before but they haven't moved like this kid does - wow
