wow, did not see that trade coming. and hunter is officially done

guess that is the white flag on the season. we officially have no pass rush now.

focus should be on developing the youngsters (and no need to rush dalvin back)

We trade a 2nd round pick and a conditional 5th for Yannick Ngakoue. 6 games later we trade him away for a 3rd round pick from one of the best teams in the league (so it will be very late 3rd) and a conditional 5th round pick in 2022. Ya we didnt get bent over the barrel on that one...

Its like the time we used a 5th round pick on Daniel Carlson, then cut him 2 games into the season and he's been just dandy with the Raiders since (83%, exactly the same as Bailey in that same time span). That was a great waste of a 5th round pick.

This time around we basically just traded an early 2nd round pick for a late 3rd. Beautiful! I also see Hunter is officially out for the year as well.

Crazy yet typical.

I'll note the play of the defense this year. Currently 2nd worst in points allowed, 4th worst in Passing yards allowed, and 9th worst in rushing yards given up.

This is why I posted here that both Rick and Mike should have been gone before this season. Their strong points just aren't positives anymore.

Bye week positivity:

The Vikings could beat the Packers next week and go on to win out the remaining schedule and be 11-5.

Reality:
Spoiler:
They have games against the broken Cowboys and hapless Jags to be excited about. 3-13

don't have a lot of high hopes for today, just wishing people don't get hurt and the young kids get some more quality experience (throw it to jefferson and irv!)

but man if we somehow win i'll be laughing all the way to the bank the rest of the year, dang packers

yeah hope dantzler is alright, they said he was taken to the hospital.

this was great, we might not amount to much the rest of the season but man beating the packers always feels good. although hey, if we can get dalvin going like this maybe things can turn around

cook's vision and footwork are something else. watching that screen pass td again, out in the open field cleveland is ahead of him and dives to take out a world-be tackler and cook is right behind him and is able to slide/hop aside of cleveland and navigate around him and zoom down the field

Completly unbalanced offense win. These don't occur back to back. But I can't fault them entirely from at least focusing on the one thing they might know how to do well after looking so terrible in previous games. Threaton everyone with Cook in any role posible.

Passing, 14 attempts. Take the win, but it does nothing for the development of this team. Surprised Packers allowed this but the've been in a bit of a mini slump after completely unraveling to the Brady Bucs.

I see Aaron Rodgers in a purple jersey soon hugging Zimmer or Zimmer hugging him. Not sure which, but in a not too distant future. When they turn Aaron Rodgers into a purple version of Brad Johnson the blame can finally land in the right spot.

The schedule eases up here, there is an opening for the Vikings to back to .500.

Ezra Cleveland is looking like a stud at RG.

Ezra Cleveland is a freaking stud. The gaps he and Bradbury create are freaking ridiculous. Cleveland looks like a future All Pro. I think we found ourselves our Quentin Nelson kind of Guard. Crazy how good he is. Its a blast just to watch him during run plays.

bears d is really good, but thank goodness their offense is really bad.

jefferson continues to impress and kirk played well. good for him getting the monday night monkey off his back.

now we need to not get too cocky with three bad teams coming to town and we find ourselves backing into the playoff picture

This is with him having a very small role the first 2 weeks of the sesaon. This dude is straight up special. We seem to be pretty good at finding WR gems but have really struggled to find a WR early in the draft. It looks like that is officially gone. This guy is just freakishly good.

Jefferson seems a lot like Diggs to me, and it's very impressive the way he's able to step right in and replace his production as a a rookie.

Return to Minnesota Vikings
