defense is going to be doing a lot of bending but not (hopefully) breaking this year it seems

well the half started out alright but then we fell apart. offense didn't do anything outside of the first drive and the last hurrah

offense will need to stay on the field more in the second half to give the defense a break. they were doing well but a couple of great rodgers throws were the difference

its not all because hunter is out, but the defense does not look good

too many lost pieces? they need to come together quick otherwise this could be a long year

Sort of unusual for the defense to start season slow.

They really needed to retire the GM/HC and move on and they just couldn't do it. He hasn't shown an ability to stop the unraveling of this defense for years now. Still hasn't a clue what offense is either. Now not enough receiver power or line protection in a wannabe running systm. Recipe for a long season. Sorry guys I think it's going to be one of those now typical loser seasons that come every year after a playoff toe is dipped, and especially after each extension for the Hc and Rick.

12 Wild card followed by 2 bust years 13,14
15 Wild card followed by bust year 16
17 Divisional round followed by bust year 18
19 Wild card followed by ....................take a guess for 20

These patterns are like cut in stone. Just like the one that has them drafting a bust Wr in first rounds after trading a good WR away. Break the pattern Jefferson.

Not going to lie, Im just counting down to the end of the Zimmer era. This team needs a shake up in the worst way. If there was going to be a season we did anything, it was going to be 2017. That was the peak of our defense and Case was playing fantastic with a great group of weapons.

Ive already come to accept with Zimmer as the coach, we are just the NFC version of the Marvin Lewis Bengals. Consistent teams, with a year every once in awhile tossed in there where we look like we might be knocking on the door of a top tier team, but never getting there. Just most seasons expecting to win somewhere between 8-10 games but never being an actual threat.

I think it's against the rules to compare a coach to Marvin Lewis after they've won a playoff game.

Holy hell. THis is like history repeating. If Elfein would have remained a starting center this would be just like was it 2008 or 2009 when Birk quit the season on IR for a bent finger?

White tape has been missing since the 2007 season.

SOFT

Larry Wilson
Larry Wilson is an NFL Hall of Famer who played safety for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1960-1972, and while he was obviously a very good player, he was also a very tough player. Wilson once played with two broken wrists in a game, and he intercepted a pass with casts on both hands.

well that was a rough half

defense is still bending and breaking (a little better than last week), but the offense is a mess and can't get into any kind of rhythm and its mistakes are putting the defense in bad spots

the team just doesn't look sharp at all

Offense looks unbelievably bad and it's clear the best days of this defense is in the past.

Looking at the schedule, it looks like it can be an extremely rough start to this season. Wouldn't be shocked if by week 7 I'm cheering for that #1 pick.

Based on this game, it’s hard to see the Vikings winning more than a couple games this season.

i don't know if the defense is terrible but with that many moving parts in the offseason there was bound to be some growing pains, along with all the bad positions the offense puts it in

the offense is just a mess though. kirk isn't sharp, he only has one wr, the line isn't good so he has no time to throw and dalvin doesn't have much room to run. its so out of sync they can't stay on the field for very long to get into any kind of groove

Diggs today for Buffalo. 8 catches, 153 yards, 1 Teeeder

All that money Vikings owner wastes on Rick and Zimmer. What a waste. These decisions they've made. I don't know why they are allowed to.

They've joined the Trevor race.

Barr is done for the season. It wont be long till Im all in on the Tanking for Trevor bandwagon.

Titans
Texans
Seahawks
Falcons

We could easily be 0-6 going into our bye week.

we finally looked like a real team out there but we fell apart. last possession was hideous, no protection at all

got the running game going, cook looked great. justin jefferson broke out, he looked great out there too. even had a rudolph sighting. with the offense doing something there was less pressure on the defense and they looked better but still some issues

could have had this one but didn't hold on
