Who do you like on Day 2?

Post#1 » by revprodeji » Sun Apr 29, 2007 3:38 am

Aundrae Allison the WR from E. Carolina is my first choice.

Then the best lineman available. We need depth bit-time. A OT like Doug Free, or a G like Josh Beekman. Even a multi-positional guy like Allen Barbre would be nice.

Soliai and Johnson are 2 DT's that have slipped.

David Clowney the wR from V tech is a gamble, but I feel he would pay off

Remember, rd 4 historically pays off for many teams. It is a chance to re-set the board and grab sleepers and people that have slipped. We have 2 picks lets make it work. last year we got a productive DE and a nice Safety.

I don't think its wise to draft another WR in the 4th - 5th or 6th maybe. In the 4th, I'd add depth to both lines.

I'd prefer they add depth to the lines, but with how our pass defense was exposed by teams lining up with extra receivers last year, I wouldn't mind us taking another CB, especially if it's Tarell Brown.

Other than that, I'd like to see us go OL and DE.

Well, it looks like we traded up with Tampa and picked Brian Robison. Another nice pick, he's a versatile player (he began his career at ILB) who showed well at the combine. If he can learn how to use his hands better from Erasmus, then we could have something in him.

Other guys I'd like to see us get are the OL Beekman from BC, DE/OLB Antwan Barnes from FIU, CB's Fred Bennett and Kenny Scott, C Doug Datish, DT Marcus Thomas, and, for the later rounds, a guy I know absolutely nothing about aside from his height/weight/speed, OLB Desmond Sims from Arkansas. The guy's 6'3", 288 lbs. and runs a 4.6 40. He's seems like he's got the size and speed to be tried at DE, and might be worth a look late in the draft.

Traded the 4th we got from Atlanta to Denver for a 6th and 7th this year and a 3rd next year. Great value move. I'm loving this draft.

As am I. We haven't reached for anyone, we've gotten some excellent athletes, we've picked up extra choices this year, and an extra 1st day choice next year.

Denver gave us a 3rd next year? weird..you rarely see a team offer a round ahead.

our 4th for their 3rd next year, and the 6th and 7th this year?

We are having a very nice draft fellas

Actually, when teams are dealing future picks instead of their same round picks this year, they typically get a round ahead. The 49ers did it, the Colts did it, and the Browns sort of did it as well. The typical line of thought is 2nd round next year=3rd round this year, 3rd round next year=4th round next year, and so on.

We have pick #2 in the 6th round from Denver (originally Detroit). We traded our 6th rounder to move up in the 4th.

A QB would be fine with me. Zabransky or Smith. Otherwise guard depth.

Mike Jones from Iowa is stil on the board. Otherwise do we take a grab with Keith Jackson from DT? Part of me wants Troy smith..but I want to focus on tjax? A linebacker like Rufus? maybe a TE ?

Troy Smith was just taken by Baltimore. Are there any good O-Lineman left?
