One scout was quoted saying "you chuck the ball down there, he's gonna go get it."
6-0(1/8), 197. 4.4 speed
Kid was projected as an early-mid 3rd rd pick
He is a receiver with speed and the ability to fight off the jam. He has studied his craft and can use his natural gifts or well-honed techniques to get open. Allison is particularly effective as using an arm-over move to gain separation. Has gotten stronger throughtout his career, but could do even more. "He's a very determined player who has gotten better," says an NFC scout. "I see Allison as a guy who really enjoys playing, and that usualy leads to improvement
Shows suddenness and quick-twitch athleticism. Wastes little time getting into routes and reaches top gear in a hurry. RUns with speed and balance and has the ability to pick up yards after catch. Good hands. Strong vision and focus. Works back to QB when protection breaks down. Uses stiff arm effectively. Experienced throwing downfield and can run gadget plays. Flashes ability to sustain blocks.
Street and Smith and ESPN has him ranked above Steve Smith.
I did not want to reach for a WR today, but I wanted this kid bad. Very bad. he will be a fan fav I promise

ESPN ended up ranking Steve Smith higher after his pro day. Their rankings changed pretty dramatically from when they put out their draft guide.
I like Allison, we need some deep threats and we've got them now, and we also needed a guy who gets off the line quickly and can pick up YAC. ESPN said he's a project, but we don't have a single WR that's proven to be productive, so if he's ready whatsoever he should get a chance. It's been a very productive draft for us.
