Round 7...finish it strong

Post#1 » by revprodeji » Sun Apr 29, 2007 7:05 pm

Im hoping TE Ben Patrick slips to us. Otherwise the best lineman available. Maybe a Mike Jones from IOWa.

Now, do we have our pick AND denver's pick?

Who are you hoping for?

Ben Patrick is the best value pick. He is a TE. Courtney Taylor, the WR from auburn is probably the best WR right now. Im not that big on him. I think we are done at WR right now. RIce and AA is enough. But there are still some servicable depth at oline. Koets/Willson/Johnson at OT. Duckworth/Jones at OG..

**Koets just got picked by the giants.

7th round... No matter who we took the chances of them making the team are small.

Supposedly he's got some promise. No one really knows how these guys will turn out, but my guess is that he'll certainly challenege Henson for the 3rd spot.

He's got really good size....6'3 220 w/a strong arm...certainly the "prototypical" quarterback.

Im hoping we get a big ol Olineman
Interesting pick. Chilly has always said he admired the old Green Bay system where you pick a late round quarterback, develop him and then trade him away for another pick. My guess is that's what is going on here.

Chandler Williams/ WR

5'10, 190lbs, 4.5

I dont know jack about him. But his size/speed dont seem to be much. I wish we would have addressed the Oline or TE spot. But hey, its the 7th round. Better chance he serves me my soda then catches a td

The 7th round was a bit weak, but all in all, I think the Vikes had a very strong draft. Now it's time to start working the UFA for some OL depth, and doing what we can to bring John Stocco in here to put Brooks Bollinger in his place.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

But he is undersized, has possible attitude problems and was brought in for return competition
