Adrian Peterson, my thoughts and comparison.

Mod buddies, I couldn't find a dedicated AP thread, and I really wanted to talk about him, and voice some thoughts. Move it if you have one somewhere. 
Adrian Peterson has played well from the go, no adjustment period needed, and watching him, and seeing his highlight reel has been a pleasure, love his game.
The person I see the most when I watch AD though, is a comparison most people don't use.
That man is Deuce Mcallister.
The similarities are really spot on, when you look at Deuce as a rookie. Most know Deuce as the power back, and don't remember his explosiveness before injuries, and bulking up hit his speed. This guy was our KR as a rookie, and a 3rd down receiving back, behind Ricky Williams.
This is is their numbers on the way out(might be off by minimal amounts).
Deuce:
6'1 221, 4.44 40 time.
AD:
6'2, 218, 4.38 40 time.
That's not what really does it though. Both guys coming out were never talked about as a receiver, but both have great hands, I haven't seen enough of AD catching to say he is as good as Deuce(who had 69 catches, and before Reggie, Joe Horn said he had the best hands on the team easily) but he is much better than most originally thought in high school.
The thing that gets me the most, is both guys are tall, and run upright, and at 220ish, aren't exceptionally huge, not Jamal lewis like, but damn can they bust through tackles.
The way AD looks for guys to punish is very much like watching Deuce again.
The similarities in skill, size, speed, running style, and attitude on the field is uncanny IMO, and I love watching AD.
