Tampa wants Mewelde

Bucs officials were already exploring trade options last week and almost certainly will ramp up those efforts now. Tampa Bay has inquired about Minnesota backup tailback Mewelde Moore, a fourth-year veteran who is No. 3 on the Vikings' depth chart, and offered a sixth-round pick for him. The Vikings, however, are seeking a first-day selection.

6th rounder for Mewelde seems laughable to me. I love the guy, but if we're not going to use him I think I'd be awfully tempted by a 2nd.

We're not going to get a 2nd, we get a 4th at best.

I'm torn on trading Memo. He clearly showed he still has value when CT went down. And if someone goes down again, we could be in trouble since we only have three RB's on the team.

For the 4th, no way. For a 3rd, maybe. For a 2nd, definitely.

I think we over value him. He doesn't play through pain, he's always hurt...To have them offer us a 6th and then we say 3rd, but there final response is to sign Zach Crockett show us how much the league thinks of MeMo. If I am a good team like Tampa and I lose my RB's, I am doing everything I can to keep my team in the hunt, and they think Crockett is a better solution for them to keep winning than to give a 3rd for MeMo says a lot.

I disagree. The fact that the Bucs needed help at RB and came asking for Memo shows he has value. They thought they could get themselves a diamond in the rough for cheap, but the Vikes front office isn't dumb. They know he has value to this team right now as an insurance policy and as a change of pace back. And in order to give him up, the Bucs would have had to pay. They tried to pull a fast one, we didn't bite, and we are better off for it.
