AD vs Favre!!!!! (Wk 10)

Lets get it on
Keys to the game.
The packers won't have 50 yards rushing, PERIOD! But can the Vikes shutdown Favre? I think if we can rattle Brett up and get a couple of picks this game is more than winnable.
If Bollinger does in fact start, can he produce better than a 60 percent completion percentage and not turn the ball over while converting at least one big pass play.
Can AP do it again, and have back to back 200 yards games, I won't rule it out with the line looking gol 'darnit good, and AP's game against the pack earlier this year.
My pick, upset special vikes 28, pack attack 17. AP 178 Yards and 2 TDs

It appears Bollinger will get the start. GB should be stacking the box heavily in anticipation of Peterson. Hopefully AD will have more than 2 rushes in the second half this game against the Pack and he can have a big game...
Regardless of individual performances, I really want to see a win here. We are playing the Packers and they are 7-1. Nothing would give me more satisfaction than to have the Vikes really take it to the Pack. GB has the 8th best rush defense allowing 93.8 ypg (but that will change). I've got the Vikes winning by 10, Favre throwing 3 picks, and AD having more yards in a single rush than the Packers team total.

Bollinger was not the problem today. It was a total team disaster. The offense was allergic to converting third downs.. The defense caught tackling amnesia. It was a total embarasment. And I would still prefer watching that happen for every game the rest of the season rather than seeing AD get injured again. It almost brought tears to my eyes seeing him lying on the ground. Hopefully it really isn't that serious. He was running along the sidelines. We'll just have to wait and see.

I didnt see much of the game but what I did see was far beyond QB issues. We looked like a joke out there. I don't care who you had in at QB today we still would have lost. The d was horrible, offense was as anemic as usual, and the play calling sucked. Worst performance I have seen from a professional team in a long time.

*Wipes tears from eyes and musters strength to post*
There really isn't much to say that hasn't already been said in the previous few posts.
I don't know about everybody else, but I still think Chester should be a big part of this team and I'm not sure why he isn't getting many touches. I know AD has outplayed him thus far but it doesn't mean that Chester should be completely cut out of the offense.
I'd like to put this game behind me, but I have to answer to my brother (a delusional Packers fan) when I see him in a week. Hopefully Peterson is OK and all things are looking that way (he wanted to go back into the game). I think I would actually cry if I found out he's gone for the year...

spew crap? I simply pointed out that Favre should have an * for substance abuse. Simple as that.

You guys are grasping at the thinnest of straws. That's fine, I guess you need to talk about something that happened 10 years ago, there certainly is nothing to talk about regarding
your team.

And that would make you not very bright. That is one of the most bitter and moronic comments I've ever seen on a sports message board.

Ok, if you say so.
Records are based on the amount of games he has played. Including the streak of games played. Yet Favre admited to abusing perscription painkillers. I take vicodin for an army foot injury. If you take too much you cannot feel anything. So I think his streak should get a * on it.
In my post on the packers board I cited that I think Favre is a very good player, and I enjoy watching him (not against us) but I do not think he should be scott-free for breaking the law and enhancing his play just because packer fans love him more than baseball fans love Bonds.

Please tell me what law he broke.

Vicodin abuse is illegal.
He abused a narcotic and that is wrong.

He over used drugs that were prescribed to him. 50% of NFL players overuse pain killers to get thriugh games. Never did anything illegal or never violated the NFL rules. And on top of it realized it was a problem and came out and admited it and asked for help. So what you are saying is completley ridiculous.

walk up to your employer and tell him that you are abusing vicodin and let me know how that goes.
If Barry Bonds admits he has a problem now and seeks help will that change anything? No. Neither should it with Favre. Farve is a great player, but he needs the *

I'm still chuckling about this.
Come on Queens fans, is this the best you can do?
Ah what the hell, whatever makes you feel better. I imagine it must suck having Zygi, Chilly, the Dumpdome and zero championships.

You are funny. What Favre did never violated any rules in the League, and it sure the hell didnt help him with his talent.
What you are saying is completly assanine.
Go do a poll on the General Board and see what the results are after a week. See how many people agree with you.

There might not be a league rule against abusing pain killers, but there is no league rule against murder or speeding, or child porno. Doesnt mean it is ok.
I didnt say it changed his talent, the whole time along I have acknowledged that he is very talented. What I did say is that his streak of games and the fact that most of his records or based on the length of his career should be * because he had the assistance of an abused pain killer that enabled him to continue playing.
