The Star Tribune - The Vikings appear to be close to signing free agent quarterback Gus Frerotte, according to the Star Tribune.

Frerotte will be a reasonable stop gap and I am glad the Vikings didn't give up any draft picks to get a backup QB. No need for that nonsense.
