first the usual
don't turn the ball over (Gus)
don't make bad mistakes (special teams)
don't get stupid penalties (Ryan Cook)
ok
i believe their getting Cadillac back, but earnest graham is banged up, but we still have to stop the run, and then get after the quaterback, just like we've been doing
they only allow just under 100 yards rushing, but AP is on fire, so just give him the ball, and get Chester involved more, screens, runs, anything
get Berrian back into the offense after a week off

Cadillac is off the PUP list, but not expected to play. Graham and Dunn are questionable but are expected to play.

Great job making a new topic every week Hermes. I don't usually reply, but I almost always read what you guys have to say.
For this game, it's going to be weird because we are playing a team that is very similar to us in so many ways.
-Their offense is great at controlling the clock, so is ours.
-They have a vet QB coming in cause the starter coming into the season couldn't get it done. So do we.
-Our TD/INT ratio is 12/12, theirs is 10/9.
-Our defense is very stingy against the run, as is theirs.
Area's where we have an advantage are:
-Our team is much more dangerous in the vertical game. Although it appears they are getting Joey Galloway back, and have more passing yards on the year, they still only have one passing play for 40+ yards this year.
-Adrian almost always does well against teams that should be able to "stop him". He always seems to go for over a 100 yards every time he plays a team that hasn't allowed a 100 yard back all season.
-Our defense is much better at getting to the QB. Gus got EXCELLENT protection last game, I almost couldn't believe my eyes, and we should be facing a less dangerous front four this week.
All in all, should be a good game. I really hope we can pull this one out, but if we don't, we should be able to leave Florida with a 1-1 record vs the Jaguars next week.

Re: Vikings @ Bucs Noon
That 2nd to last drive was so frustrating. On first down Bobby Wade gives up 2 yards to get out of bounds, there's 3 minutes left dude, just get the first down. Then the Vikings don't run the ball on 2nd and 2 or 3rd and 2. Did Bevell see the game last week? Give Peterson the ball.

Re: Vikings @ Bucs Noon
sigh this team is frustrating
special teams is awful
our 2 minute drives are awful (especially the play-calling- like to end the first half)
red zone offense isn't good
ugh

Re: Vikings @ Bucs Noon
also, blew a chance to have the division lead all by ourselves (man this division is bad)
so now there is a 3-way tie

I didn't mind the play calling at the end of the first half, we had the lead and after last week I didn't trust Ferotte not to make a mistake.

Re: Vikings @ Bucs Noon
i suppose but its an every week thing, and at the end of the game too
it's like they think they can run the regular offense and then after killing all the clock they start rushing and Gus will get sacked

Re: Vikings @ Bucs Noon
I also had a problem with the 4th and 1 play where they threw it deep to Adrian Peterson. Sure Peterson was open and probably should have caught the ball, but most running backs aren't very good at catching the ball down field. If you're going to go for it on 4th down, run it.
