Vikings @ Jaguars Noon

Post#1 » by hermes » Fri Nov 21, 2008 5:10 pm

must win for the Jags, who are clinging to playoff hopes

Vikings after losing a chance at first place to themselves are still in the middle of a tight division race

Jags like to establish the run, but the combination of the patchwork offensive line and the Vikings stout run D, the game will be on Garrard's shoulders

for the Vikings they need to limit mistakes, protect Gus so he has time to make good decisions, and give the ball to AP

man what an awful half, vikes come out firing 2 fumble recoveries leads to two quick scores

and then the offense went to sleep, Adrian didn't play for first two drives, Gus is awful

we'd easily we losing right now if the Jags weren't on the verge of imploding

Garrard is having his way, Jones-Drew is killing us, lucky all they can do is move the ball and not capitalize, because we cannot do anything right now

if we don't start protecting the QB Gus won't make it through the season

Is that a bad thing? OK, it probably is but twice today Gus made inexcusable decisions. First when he threw that interception at the end of the half when took the sack at first and goal from the two. Both times he was out of the pocket and could have easily thrown the ball away. Both could have been huge swings.

ya Gus isn't good, but i think i'd rather have him than jackson in there

good win, keep pace with the bears, chester taylor is huge for this team, great back on 3rd down
defense got going in the second half, only the safety allowed, and got 4 sacks (4 sacks on the road all year before this)

good to win on the road

Huge game against the Bears this week. If we lose we're a game back and they have the tiebreaker. I'm worried the suspensions will come down on Williams this week.

If the Williams wall do get suspended, hopefully it will be starting with the lions on week 13.

Very good win vs jags even though ap was benched for the 1st quarter. Very big game with bears next week. If we beat bears and lions we will be 8-5 with @arizona, atlanta and ny giants left. Assuming ny giants will rest their starters in week 17, we have a good chance to make the playoffs. But a win vs the bears is the key.

has anyone heard anything about why AP didn't play for the first half of the first quarter?
disciplinary reasons?

AP was late to a team meeting last saturday so he was benched by Chilly for the first 2 series.

Great packers loss last night!
