Brian Robiskie? I didn't know he was that highly regarded, he always seemed like a 4th-5th round guy to me.

I have heard a couple people say we like him with our 3rd and maybe even our 2nd. I am ok with him as a 3rd but I agree with you. I do not see it.

hate to humor the idea, but would we really take a RB in the first? Maybe a chester replacement?

I've seen several mocks that have him high in the 2nd and a few that suggested late 1st (ie NYG) prior to this recent slide of all WRs beyond Crabtree and Maclin. Apparently, in addition to size and skill, he has super high football IQ. I think there will be a run in the 2nd on WRs, and he might be in on that.

He's 7th on the Draft Countdown WR rankings behind Britt & Nicks (5/6) and ahead of Derrick Williams & Iglesias (8/9); On Walter he is 6th; On Football Expert, Abramowitz has him 5th and ahead of Nicks and Harvin.

.

Rev,
Other names I've seen for the 2nd rd are OT's Meredith and Tupou, C's Wood and Unger, Slot WR Thomas, CB's DJ Moore and Alph Smith, and this recent Pat White chatter.

I have only heard one person suggest a DT but he was passionate about it.

I really like Alph Smith, but I do not see him dropping to us. Moore is likely not there after Baltimore. I will add them

Loadholt is really moving up i guess, from what Icness was saying we could either take him at 22 (if Britton isn't there) or trade back to end of the first and take him

we must not be sold on the CB's around 22

and i'd really like it if we didn't take a wr in the first

I don't remember the last time the Vikings had a first round pick and it wasn't generally known what they were going to do with it. Peterson, Greenway, Williamson were all pretty well telegraphed. I guess it'd be Erasmus James.

We all hoped James would slip because of his knee. Even he was telegraphed.

I agree, it is weird. But I like that.

I am grateful we have a lower pick, the contract for Stafford was stupid nuts. The NFL needs a rookie cap structure so bad. Ironically the cash involved could stop any plan of Detroit rebuilding.

IC confirmed the general consensus of the Vikings plan is to trade back and take Loadholt, particularly if Britton is gone. I think the Giants are prime target for this, and get another pick to Minnesota.

Britton comes first, if he is gone then Loadholt/trade.

What if we get Britton first and Loadhold last until the 2nd?

One pick down, a whole crap load to go.

I have 140 something pages to read and a 7-10 page paper on enlightenment epistemology so I think I am set for the downtime of the draft.

hope so. The uncertainty about this draft is fun.

Kiper has a huge man crush on Pettigrew. Listed as 2nd best prospect available. Would you like him at our pick?

No idea why, but if OAK does not take Maclin I could see him slipping. He would be a great KR/WR for us.

So far everyone is there. Watch for Maclin hopefully falling. he would fit our WR/KR perfect. I doubt he is there, but he is slipping.

Fudge packers took the chubby kid.
