Hey guys long time Vikes fan (and Blazers I know booo :) ) first time poster on the NFL forums. So my big question to you guys is with his ability to make plays after the catch, how important is Percy to this teams success?

He looked much better in the first games than I though he was.

He is incredibly strong, has good hands, runs decent routes (which is great after such short time in the league, but has alot of room for improvement) and I really like his blocking ability. He's break-away speed is incredible. As a runner, I don't think his impact will be that great, but as a WR, I see alot of potential.

He has all the tools to be one of the better recievers in this league...he could very well become the next Steve Smith (of course, not on this level yet, and it'll take 2-3 season...), because he reminds me of Steve whenever I see him.

It depends on how much work he puts in. He sure seems to love the game alot and visibly worked a great deal in summer to be as polished as he is.

I didn't like the pick at first, but after seeing him now, I'm convinced it was the right pick for this team. He's not as important as he will be in the future. He will be our clear-cut #1 reciever in a year or two.

I'm not sure on his hands yet, but he has better strength than advertised; he finishes plays like a halfback

I don't know if he's a pure receiver, like Steve Smith, but he's explosive and versatile. I love him. Last week I saw him throw pancake block on running play.

i was also questionable of the pick at the time, but he's shown some aspects (blocking, strength, fighting for the last yard) that i did not know he had

he'll be a good wr, maybe not top tier but he'll be good

He's going to be what Reggie Bush is, but better. Less runs obv. but more catches, and more explosive. He has great hands, just struggled a little bit early on.

that was a nice off balance catch last game, his hands do seem good. That first TD drop in that first game seems like a fluke

what are you talking about? He has been a beast for a rookie so far.

I'd like to see them get him into space a little more, some reverses, some screens out of the slot, some direct snaps from the backfield, we need to establish that threat to open up more plays down the field for Shiancoe, Rice, and Berrian

I liked the look of the wildcat where they put Peterson in motion right, and Harvin takes it left. It sounds like Harvin might get a shot at some punt returns.

He is top 2 kick returner in the NFL despite not being a returner in college football. His talent is frightfully good and his game attitude is best described as suicidal. Near perfect match with AD as an all-purpose back in the wildcat because he is a playmaker with good hands!
His skill and toughness has been so amazing that I wouldn't be surprised if we found out he could PASS too LOL!

his returns are pretty clutch as well

late game situations, when we really need a momentum swing Harvin goes crazy
