Huge game, if we win, the division is basically over. If we lose, it's a dogfight.

I think we're gonna lose. Just feels like a loss, we've been playing like garbage lately and everybody in world had their weird little vendetta against Brett Favre.

Offense looks good, special teams looks good, defense has to stop letting up with big leads.

great game, I thought for sure the turnovers and the defense were going to be the killer, but they held off impressively.

Harvin is turning into a monster. I was kinda bummed at first when he stumbled on that big return, he almost went the distance.
Jared Allen showed up bigtime, he's such a big game player, that was trade was a steal for MN.

Brought this up earlier this year, but the short yardage power run game sucks so bad though, it needs to be addressed. I never have faith. You'd think with the size of the offensive line plus AD, that'd be a given, but they get stuffed all the time. They need to figure that out though, we can't be sucking so much on these plays where we need a freaking yard. I'd rather go wildcat than watch the handoff get stuffed every single time.

Yea, Childress and Bevell getting too predictable. You should atleast show a two back set with AD and Harvin alongside Farve every now and then. Harvin is the closest thing to AD that Vikings have--albeit as a wide receiver. Pound for pound he is as tough as AD or anyone and has the talent to beat a defense by himself! Oh if only I could draw up plays like in Madden10, LOL!!

While on this topic.... Any one notice how AD has more success bouncing it to the left side of the field while Harvin has been sweeping it right when they are taking the handoff from Farve?
It would be nice to see both options at the same time because they both have been catching and running very well this year.

AD has great power breaking arm tackles, but he doesn't get low enough to be a great short yardage guy. When he's out on the edge ready to switch gears and guys are trying to keep up, then you see the power, but on the north/south short yardage plays when everybody is getting underneath his pads, he gets stuffed all the time.

AD is actually getting his pad level low when running into holes--it's just that on many of the short yard plays he is hitting the holes too quickly when they haven't opened yet and will occasionally run into his blockers instead of letting them clear paths first. He also gets stood up because he gets gang tackled against good run defenses (and we have played some really good run defenses). He's a smart young back who's still learning.
Other problem is playcalling--everyone expects the run on 3rd and short with AD in the backfield. He is priority number 1 for defenses. I'm glad we don't actually use him like a battering ram because he has more potential than that.

I don't think AD is crafty enough around the goal line, power is only part of being a good goal line back. If you watched LT a couple years ago he was the master at finding ways into the endzone. He'd lunge, dive, burrow his way into the endzone.
I don't think our line is very good at runblocking either, they don't get much a push despite their size.

The line is much better at opening up holes in longer yardage situations than getting a push in short yardage situations.
