Chilly vs. Favre
I can't believe Chilly really tried to pull Favre, he should know better. You can't pull Favre in this situation, I don't care how many audibles he calls. He's 40 years old, a HOF QB having a HOF season, you can't treat him like a kid.

If he was going to pull Favre, I gotta beleive it was out of fear that Peppers would kill him. Vikes couldn't defend the QB at all.

He's apparently tried to pull Favre on multiple occasions, or at least openly considered it.

I can't believe Chilly would pull Favre over audibling. Audibles are crucial to how you adjust.
I gotta believe that Childress intended to pull Favre in favor of Tavaris because Brett lacks the running threat or escapability that a guy like Rodgers or Jackson would offer.
The ground game has been a no-show in too many crucial games. In lieu of a running game you can either force the passing game like Brett tends to favor OR you can do what Childress might have wanted-->Have a running threat at QB to counter the pass rush.
I'm surprised Bevell didn't call more screen plays or utilize two back sets more frequently to counter Carolina's defense.
Playcalling was so predictable and Peppers was beating Vikes even with no blitz package-->this means Brett was often throwing into heavy cover. Answer: Go to a RUN play whether it be with AD, a fullback, a wideout or a mobile QB.
Sadly, maybe Brett audibled out of those plays too.
