J. Lynch visiting Foxboro

Post#1 » by greenbeans » Wed Aug 13, 2008 7:07 pm

The Patriots are hosting free-agent safety John Lynch on a visit at Gillette Stadium today.

The 36-year-old Lynch, a nine-time Pro Bowler and one of the grittier, more durable safeties to play in the NFL, was released by the Broncos on Aug. 1.

while him and Rodney might not be the most mobile safety pair out there, people will damn sure think about goin over the middle.

Meriweather still not ready...? They are bringing in Lynch to play the tank williams spot. LB/Safety. I remember rodney being rumored to do that when meriweather was drafted, if they are bringing in lynch they must want another year before starting meriweather. Or it could be just for depth.

I like it though, I hope we sign him, always been a lynch fan.

Lynch i s going to play some LB? That is interesting. I wonder how? He can still hit like a tank. I would love to see the pats do it this season, again.

Lynch cut was surprising. But I don't think he is gone. He will be back next week.

Maybe, but he did look pretty terrible this pre-season.
