Kevin Faulk suffered a ACL injury last Sunday and of course is done for the season. A big blow for the Pats on third down, I wonder if we'll see Edelman coming out of the backfield a bit more in that role.
The Boston Globe's Shalize Manza Young reports RB Kevin Faulk's knee injury is a torn ACL.
As one of the league's most reliable passing-down specialists and chip-blockers, Faulk's injury has a much bigger impact on the Patriots than the fantasy football world. Danny Woodhead, fresh off the Jets' practice squad, is a candidate for third-down duty. Expect Sammy Morris and BenJarvus Green-Ellis to see increased action on passing downs as well.

Damn... looks like we need a trade. Or just Start Green Ellis and bring the new kid from the Jets in at third downs. I know we're just going to keep Starting Morris and Taylor... I have to keep reminding myself to trust Belichick.

I don't think a trade would help. Faulk's locker-room presence and 3rd down ability will be really, really missed.

Why are we starting Green-Ellis? Taylor and Morris are both better backs.

I've always liked Green-Ellis enough when he's had his number called. To be honest I think after this season we should just blow up our entire backfield and start from scratch. Maybe the Raiders' draft pick could provide some help.

All the guys are FA's at the end of the season. I will say however if they use the Raiders pick on a running back I'm going to be pissed. Go get your pass rusher or a guy to replace Seymour's spot. A good running back will be there with your pick if you want to go in that direction.
