TD NYJ, game over. NYJ made no mistakes, NE did, so the Jets totally deservedly move on. You can expect NYJ to score 28, but NE only scoring 14??? That's not SB quality. :o

Goddamit. Atleast we have 6 picks in the first three rounds....which Bill can then trade.

I think you can definitely put a lot of blame on the coaching staff with this one. Lots of head scratching decisions.

Time management in the 4th is one huge point that will be talked about.

Edit: fake punt is another.

Smh at Brady. Go out have a great regular season, and choke on dick when it matters. What a bitch. I hate that guy.

I don't know what was worse, the execution, the coaching or the lack of killer instinct. Scoring just 3 points in the first 32 minutes is just unforgivable, but the lack of urgency during most of Q4 was just LOL.

You've got to be kidding me...

It's over-reactions like this which make me go into sports hiding for two weeks after a playoff loss.

See ya'll during the combine. :-?

I can't stand it when he throws the ball behind his receivers, and starts cussing them out like it's their fault. He sucked today, he sucked last year vs Baltimore, he sucked against the Giants when we lost the SB. I'm sorry you don't like my post..no over-reaction I just really don't like the guy. He's good but I still don't like him..what good did it do him to go 300+ pass plays without an interception if he throws one when it matters? #Choke

-Every great QB reams out his receiver if they drop the ball, or miss a route.
-The giants game was a spectacular performance by their d-line and brady still almost won it.
-The Baltimore game was over before brady got to touch the field.

You can't sit here and tell me that Brady is not one of the best QB's to ever play the game. Postseason included.

Anyway, like I said lots of over-reactions are going to come, not just fans but from the media too. I got to stop reading and listening for awhile.

Great season, MVP, rookies dominating, great returns, great homecomings (branch), great surprises. It just sucks that it had to come to a sucky ending.

Oh well. Just too many mistakes made. Dropping easy gains, Brady throwing terrible passes...nothing went right. Have to realize how young the team is as well.

I'm not watching ESPN though. Going to be way too much Rodgers/Sanchez dick sucking.

Wow....what a depressing way to end the year. Just lots of stuff I'm ticked about.

- Belichick...rubbing it in last game. Belichick acts all professional, stoic and business-like...but so many times his ego and arrogance shines through. It's not basketball or hockey where you get 7 games to be better than your opponent. It's 1 game. A drubbing like we put on them in the regular season only works to spark that emotional performance with personal pride on the line that we saw today from the Jets. If we don't humiliate them last time...I don't think you see them come out with the fire they did for this round. That's all on Bill.

- More "Hoodie"...the 4th and 13....why aren't we kicking a field goal? A lot like the 4th and 9 in the Super Bowl vs. NYG. If you're willing to give the ball back right there, at least do it going for points...points that we desperately needed. I know it would've been a long one...but I feel like a missed FG doesn't amp up the other side like giving it back on downs.

- 4th quarter drive....others have mentioned it. No sense of urgency. Play calling looked like we were the ones trying to run out the clock. Speaking of the NYG Super Bowl...if we'd play called like that drive today...we probably would've actually won that particular game. Oops, got our situations mixed up.

- The fake punt...just isn't like us normally. That was a big sign we were in trouble (along w/Mankins dumb penalty).

- Why was Alge so involved in the passing game when it's been Gronkowski and Hernandez that have been the dynamic TE's that have been producing all year? I barely saw Hernandez on the field. I know he was coming off from being hurt...guess more so than I realized. I'm not even pointing to the dropped TD either, though that was big. Alge hasn't been big in the passing game since Michael Vick was throwing him the ball. I'd much rather have seen us trying to get the ball to the 2 kids.

- Speaking of Vick....Brady....I'm not asking him to be Vick, but it really clicked to me today that he pretty much never runs anymore...ever. I'm not asking for anything epic....but when your O-line protects your ass for an NFL eternity, you might wanna take off and at least get 2 or 3 yards instead of flinging a low percentage pass attempt or taking a sack. I feel like he used to take off in these situations and get a couple yards...but jeez...is there something real to the pretty boy stuff? Again, I'm not asking him to be a hero...just hoping for some positive yards instead of the other way around when the line is doing a terrific job of protecting him, yet the WR's aren't coming open.

Argh. In perspective, I didn't expect us to win the Super Bowl this year. But after the regular season success we had, I sure did allow my hopes to go up. Looking forward to what we do with this draft. Hope we get some studs for the D-line to help Fork and a deep threat to spread the field.

I put the Giants game on Belichick too. The man is a legend and we should be thankful for what he has brought to New England...but on the other hand, I feel like it's also his quiet, but huge ego and stubborn ways that lost that Super Bowl...and in a lot of ways today's game due to the way he kept the foot on the gas last Jets game.

Yes, the G-Men were terrific, esp. that D-line. But we hardly tried to run the ball at all, and despite continual pressure on Brady, we kept going for the long bombs that had worked all season (but w/Brady getting stellar protection and not seeing anything like the Giant's pass rush). I feel like Belichick just didn't adjust. As soon as we started going for shorter routes over the middle (even Moss was hauling those in)...we were moving the ball steadily in the 4th quarter. Unfortunately, it was too late by then. Feel like Belichick sometimes just gets into this mindset like "We're going to beat you in X particular way!"....despite the fact that the game or opponent seems to be suggesting that we need a change in strategy.

Somehow managing to show my face in here. What an awful loss. Second to only the Giants loss in the SB imo for this franchise.

Jets fan here and dont wanna stir the pot but when brady got sacked and his shoulder was forced over his head,I forgot who hit him ever since that sack whenthe camera was on him you could tell he had fear in his eyes. He also had "happy feet" when he was dropping back into the pocket. JMHO

I remember that scene, but tbh, a GOAT caliber QB has to shake that off. Brady's body language was awful during the entire game, and he mostly just stood there doing nothing or/and throwing the ball away. He ain't Vick, but if everybody is covered, running a few yards simply sends a message. Remember, the last Pats-Jets game ended 45-3! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Nah, the Giants loss had me depressed as hell for the next 2 months this doesn't compare imo. This was supposed to be a transitional year, and for us to be the SB favorites in such a year is a pretty damn good result. This team is geared to be great for a long time to come, and that makes this loss a little easier.

Ugh I hate to say it but I think that pick got into Brady's head. He looked like Bledsoe out there and he kept throwing to the wrong shoulder after that.

Terrible loss. Trying to remember this is a young team that overachieved but it just doesn't feel that way, to many plays left on the field should have been up 14-0.

Well time to find a pass rush and running game.

Problem with football (and this has worked for us) is that sometimes guys just have bad games and get off to bad starts. They can't seem to get over it and bam before you know it the game is over. I think in 2001 we benefited from this against the Rams. But here with our team we paid the price..

This sounds ridiculous but when I saw Brady come out to play he looked kinda nervous and not really pumped up. I think it was the whole Welker benching that got us off on the wrong foot. That and the dumb interception of course..

Brady was due, maybe the streak was a bad thing. The Bills game towards the end of the season, he threw a few passes that could have easily been picked off. A foot injury this time, for those wondering why he seemed so unwilling to run with it.

Of course, we did find out afterwards that Brady was truly injured all along. That seems a common theme following a Pats' elimination.

With some exceptions (Crumpler, the RBs, Graham, yeah I meant Shayne Graham) I thought the team looked that way to some extent.

To nitpick, Chung really should have lateraled to Sammy Morris after he botched the snap on the fake punt. He got caught in desperation.
