Patriots Pre-Season Game 3: Patriots @ Lions

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Sat Aug 27, 2011 4:08 am

Preseason record 2-0

Pre-Season Game #3
New England Patriots @ Detroit Lions
Saturday August 27th. 8:00 PM.
TV: CBS. Radio: 98.5 Sports Hub

National TV for this one. Looks like it could be Albert Haynesworths first action. This is a pretty big pre-season game, should be critical for guys on the bubble, and most of the starters will probably play more than they have/will played in any other pre-season game this year.

I'm upset I have to work during it, hopefully I can catch the second half and still see some of the starters playing. I expect another win, probably not as dominant as they've been playing though, Detroit has some weapons on offense.

Go Pats!

Got out early for it, and it looks like Haynesworth, Ellis both are not playing.

Vareen and Ridley are out too.

Lions look like they're taking this game wicked serious. Not sure if the Pats are as serious considering they're not playing everyone.

The following Patriots have not been spotted for tonight's game: CB Ras-I Dowling, RB Stevan Ridley, CB Leigh Bodden, RB Shane Vereen, S Josh Barrett, RB Kevin Faulk, DB Malcolm Williams, LB Jeff Tarpinian, LB Dane Fletcher, LB Brandon Spikes, OL Marcus Cannon, DL Brandon Deaderick, DL Albert Haynesworth, DE Shaun Ellis, DE Jermaine Cunningham, DL Ron Brace and DL Mike Wright.

Yeah this is unlike anything we've seen this pre-season.

Connolly limped off, I hope he's alright.

I don't know what to take from that first half. It was awful, but I'm not going to over-react.

Hopefully the back-ups can come in and show some positive stuff.

I'm not taking much from it because they're missing so many players it's unreal.

EDIT:

Injuries:
Welker - injured his neck
Connolly - rolled right ankle
Edelman - hand
Wilhite - collided with teammate
