Re: Hernandez questioned in murder investigation
This guy is totally nuts, ruining a life in which you make millions from playing a game you love to kill a random guy? I think Hernandez will end up in jail for a long time... He just had his 1st kid, where are these guys' s heads? Aren't they even thinking about people around them?? So hard for me to believe that you have to pretend to be some kind of a thug, when you actually make a living out of playing pro sports... Moron.

Re: Hernandez questioned in murder investigation
Very sad. Two young kids, have their lives ended. -- One is dead; the other is most likely in prison for life.

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez drove his friend to a remote spot in an industrial park in the dead of night and — still fuming from a fight at a nightclub three nights earlier — "orchestrated his execution," prosecutors alleged in a Massachusetts court Wednesday.
Hernandez pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and five firearms charges, including possessing a large-capacity firearm, more than a week after the body of Odin Lloyd, 27, was found near his Massachusetts home. A judge ordered him held without bail.

The New England Patriots did not wait until Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder to cut ties with the troubled tight end, releasing him from the roster on Wednesday morning soon after police led him from his house in handcuffs.
In a rare instance of public relations before football for one of the league’s most successful teams, the Patriots released a statement saying, “At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do.”
Hernandez was charged Wednesday with the slaying of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, whose bullet-riddled body was found in an industrial park about a mile away from Hernandez’s North Attleborough, Mass., home.
Prosecutor Bill McCauley said at the arraignment that Hernandez “orchestrated the crime from the beginning.” Hernandez, who was held without bail, did not enter a plea, but his lawyer said the case against the 23-year-old football player “is not a strong case.”
If convicted, Hernandez faces life in prison without parole.

This kid is in serious trouble. 3 murders?
One day after being arraigned on six charges -- including first-degree murder -- in connection with the death of Odin Lloyd, former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is now being investigated as a possible suspect in a July 2012 double murder that happened in Boston, according to WFXT-TV, a Fox affiliate in Boston. The Boston Globe has also confirmed the report.
On July 16, 2012, Boston police responded to a call just after 2 a.m. ET, according to the report. When authorities arrived on the scene, they found three people in a car at a traffic light who had all been shot. Two of the men in the vehicle had been fatally shot.
The two men who were fatally wounded were sitting in the front seat of the car. The passenger in the back of the vehicle survived. Witnesses in the area placed a grey or silver SUV with Rhode Island license plates at the scene of the crime.
According to Fox 25, authorities are looking into Hernandez's connection to the killings.

Flash3 said it best. Money doesn't change their lives, it just changes how they live. If you're already a dumbass to begin with then there's probably a good chance that you'll be an even bigger dumbass if you have more money like that.

Re: Hernandez poss. tied to 2012 Double Murder
He could just outright be an overly cocky psychopath, used to bs'ing his way through anything. I would wager it's a good possibility considering he purportedly scored perfectly in a psychological test before the draft, and considering his casual cover up etc.

For future reference: perfect interviews etcetera, combined with certain types of red flags, should possibly the biggest red flag.
The aforementioned psychological profile described Hernandez as having “good intelligence” despite not posting good grades at Florida. A synopsis of the report provided to FOX Sports depicted Hernandez as “passionate toward football with a fun personality. He gets along with all different types of people.”

They're dumping the psychopath's Jersey like crazy.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Over 1,200 Patriots fans looking to turn in their Aaron Hernandez jerseys in exchange for another player's jersey lined up outside the Patriots ProShop in Foxborough Saturday.
Fans handed over their #81 jerseys and received a ticket for their new jersey. The long line of attendees picked up the jerseys of fan favorites that include Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Vince Wilfork.
The New England Patriots were quick to cut all ties with the 23-year-old tight end, releasing him shortly after his June 26 arrest on first degree murder and weapons charges in the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd of Dorchester.
Two days later, the team went one step further, offering fans a free trade-in on their Hernandez jerseys.
"We know that children love wearing their Patriots jerseys, but may not understand why parents don't want them wearing their Hernandez jerseys anymore," said New England Patriots spokesperson Stacey James. "We hope this opportunity to exchange those jerseys at the Patriots ProShop for another player's jersey will be well received by parents."
