Cincinnati Bengals vs New England Patriots. Sunday Sept 12th

It's finally here, this sunday is opening day.

Key Match-up:
Patriots secondary versus the popcorn show.
It's going to be tough with Bodden out, we could be looking at a long day of Carson Palmer tearing our young corners apart. Just look at all his weapons, Ocho Cinco, TO, Gresham, and Shipley. Hopefully we see Butler progress even more in his second year, and McCourty show that he wasn't just picked for special teams.

This is a very good test for the Pats. The Bengals have a good passing game as well as a good running game with Benson. That defense is also very underrated, they put pressure on the QB and they have two good corners.

I think the Pats pull this one out in a shootout 35-31.

Receiving corps is looking NICE out of the gate.
Wes looks fine with multiple catches including a td and Hernandez had quite the catch and run.

That half surprised everyone in New England.

The defense has looked amazing.

Secondary: McCourty/Butler are doing great on the popcorn show, and Chung is in on every friggen tackle.

LB and D-line: Wow. They're getting pressure, they're creating turnovers.

The offense has looked good too. A little dull at times, but I don't see anything wrong with the way they have been playing, and expect them to only get better.

That was a fun half to watch, hopefully they keep it up.

Great game. What a start to the season.

Defense: Man, lots of surprises here, McCourty, Guyton, D-Line, but the biggest surprise of the day for me is Patrick Chung. Over 10 friggen tackles...wow. The defense played as good as it gets in the first half. 3rd quarter it struggled, but that's going to happen when you play a good offense like the bengals. I credit cincy for not giving up. Ocho Cinco still has it.

Offense: Really looked better out there. That 4th quarter drive stamped this game. I believe it will only get better for the offense (knock on wood).

Special Teams: Brandon Tate is the best returner this team has had in a while. He's so fast, and he's not afraid to take it out deep and bust it for the 10 extra yards to get to the 30.

Excellent game. Really surprised me as to how well the team did.
