Regular Season Record: 4-1

Image

New England Patriots @ San Diego Chargers.
Sunday October 24th. 4:15 PM.
TV: CBS. Radio: 98.5 Sports Hub.

These games are always fun. Not as many familiar faces with LT and Shawne Merriman being gone, but still a tough team. Phillip Rivers is playing better than any quarterback in the league right now. The secondary is in for a long day. Gates is listed as questionable. If he doesn't play, that is huge.

I don't think I'll be upset over a loss, which I see happening. But if they were to somehow pull out this tough road victory (don't let the chargers record fool you, this one will be tough), then I will be officially in love with this team.

Go Pats!!!

Without Gates (Hopefully), Floyd, and Legadu (can't spell his last name) the Bolts should be starting Patrick Crayton and Buster Davis, So the pass attack should be easier to defend. I actually predict a win here, cause their defense is not that great.

I know the Chargers have struggled, but I still think this is a tough game for the Pats. While they are beat up in the recieving group they have a great QB in Rivers that will find the open guy. They have 2 good running backs. I think the Pats will pull it out, but it will be close. 24-21

What a sloppy half of football for both teams.

Both defenses have played great, but wow, just terrible on offense.

Patriots should be up by what, a score of 35-3? Brady needs to get this offense in shape coming out of the half.

Pat Chung has a knee injury, that never sounds good.

I can't **** believe that situation arose again. The feeling was like last year vs the colts all over again, but this time, we pulled it out.

I will continue to say I never have a problem with them going for it, I do have a problem with the play calls though.

Anyway, a tough game, but it's a W, and that's all that matters.
-The offense did their job coming out of the half. Our no-huddle offense is pretty good.
-Gostowski continues to stay clutch. Good for him and us.
-I thought our defense played excellent for most of the game. 2 big red zone stops. They let up later on in the game, but I am going to say that's because they were on the field for long stretches of time due to an onside kick and quick 3 and outs on the offensive side.
-McCourty had a hell of a pick.
-Dane Fletcher had a helluva hit to cause that fumble.
-Rob Ninkovich and James Sanders with heads up plays to get the ball.
-Special teams with their worst game of the season. Bad snaps and they should have been aware of that onsides kick.

My hands are still shaking. Two weeks in a row like this. Next week a two touchdown win would be nice :P

Well a win is a win. This game should have been something like 38-14 tho.

Three Stars-
Vince Wilfork- Stats don't show it, but the guy was a monster. Chargers got nothing on the ground.

Jerod Mayo- The tackle machine is back, he's been all over the field.

Jermaine Cunningham- Lot of energy from him and I'm really liking what I see from him.

Three Duds-
Jake Ingram- What the hell was that? Just an awful game from Ingram.

BenJarvus Green Ellis- Can Fred Taylor come back about now? Just not getting it done.

Brandon Tate- He needs to be a better playmaker, dropped ball in the end zone as well.

Heh. I give a dud to the OLine. As for BGJE - eh - the guy is going to need a hole to run..and Tom Brady and company to open up the field. But with that turnstile OLine none of that was happening.. Also Tate has been REALLY disappointing..

Truth is in a way the naysayers are looking correct. Our offense has stunk without Moss. I think BB should have just tolerated the guy for a season...

Agreed. No one has really stepped up thus far, and the offense is inept. We should have put 40 on them with the amount of mistakes they made.

I wish we could have seen this team with Moss AND Branch out there. Need more than two good receivers in this league.
