Love the move!!! Fat Albert and Ocho may be (talented) head cases, but the Pats have dealt with those before (Dillon, Moss) I just love the fact that they are making moves which for the past 3+ years they seemed to shy away from, mainly after the Adalius Thomas flop(or maybe CBA concerns)! Ocho helps by adding a "Tall" target (among the smurfs) for Brady and the third receiver in a 3 wide set, while Albert, adds more muscles to an already beefy line and a threat offensive lines must double up on (ala Seymore in years past) freeing up the outside backers to attack, which I have a feeling its going to be a big year for Cunningham. Everything depends on how motivated these 2 guys are, but on paper the Pats look great, hopefully it will be the same in reality!

Winning has a way of curing attitude problems with guys like Chad, he might be off the wall but he is a competitor, I think he's a great pick-up. After being stuck in the Bengals disfunctional organization his whole career he'll probably appreciate what he has landed in. Haynesworth who knows, lack of motivation has derailed his career but for a 5th round pick it's a great gamble.

Chad does not have an attitude problem. Yeah, the guy likes to have fun with the game, I don't see how that's having an attitude.

On a side note, I love the move.

There is no arguing that Haynesworth is a bad guy, he is, you just hold your nose and hope he helps.

Chad isn't a bad guy just an ego maniac who needs attention. Hopefully he is able to let his game speak for itself more when he is on national TV every week and not trying to get noticed in CIN.

The positive with Chad is that he needs this he is probably 3 good years (70 rec/800-900 yd/7-8 rec td) to be in the top 10 in all time of all of those stats and he will get no better opportunity than in NE with TB. He needs to prove he can be that guy on a real winner not on a team that is always either over achieving or under achieving. So far he has been quiet and gracious.

I agree - Chad isn't a bad guy at all. Haynesworth OTOH.. These two guys don't deserve to be lumped together. One guy is a Paul Piercesque talented 'clown' type - and the other displays lazy thuggish qualities..

Football is a remarkably button up militaristic kind of sport - so its not surprising that they would chafe at Chad's antics. But don't confuse that with being a bad guy..
