Key Offense players may start on the PUP list

The PUP list prevents the player from practicing and, obviously, from playing in games. The Gronkowski news does not come as a surprise, as the move was reported more than a month ago. Edelman has been seen in and out of a walking boot so his is no surprise either. Still, that doesn't lessen the significance of either. Rob Gronkowski could be likely headed for starting the regular season on the PUP list, as he recovers from both back and arm surgery. That will keep Gronk out for at least the first six weeks of the season.
Julian Edelman on the other hand is more likely to come off the PUP list sometime during training camp.

Patriots tight end Jake Ballard passed his physical and conditioning test today, so he has been removed from the physically unable to perform list, according to a source. He can begin practicing Friday with the rest of the team.
The decision to place Ballard on PUP yesterday was precautionary, as he is still slowly recovering from February 2012 ACL and microfracture surgeries. But, since he proved he is physically able to practice, the Patriots will have him out there.
While Gronkowski and Edelman are still out, Ballard is in, for the time being.
Hernandez (now an alleged Serial Killer) is gone. Tim Tebow, currently a Quarterback, has been rumored to be considered for TE, and possibly some other spots, as he famous for his rushing yards.
The Patriots seem to be going for some type of patchwork offense. We'll see how it goes, as Training Camp starts Friday, July, 26, 2013.
