Injury report: Kelly out Sunday
http://www.csnne.com/blog/patriots-talk ... out-sunday
[Tommy] Kelly has been ruled out for the game against the Steelers in Foxboro. The defensive tackle, who injured his knee Oct. 6 against the Bengals, practiced Wednesday and Thursday but wasn’t on the field Friday.

As for the rest of the banged-up Patriots, Kyle Arrington, Aqib Talib and Leon Washington are all questionable.

Danny Amendola, Marcus Cannon, Brandon Bolden, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Tom Brady and Matthew Slater are probable.

The Steelers, meanwhile, will be without guard David DeCastro, corner Curtis Brown and wide receiver Markus Wheaton.

Logan Ryan Living Up to Nickname

The Rutgers product been the sixth-man in New England’s typical five-man starting secondary. He was the team’s dime back before Aqib Talib got hurt and he’s been the nickel back since Talib went down with a hip injury against the Saints in Week 6.
The third-rounder has made some big plays in his limited time. Against the Jets, Ryan scored on a 79-yard interception. Last week, he came up with a key strip sack in the third quarter against the Dolphins. Those big plays are how he earned the nickname “Instant Offense” from his teammates.

WTF! -- Yep, Kelly is on IR. -- We're losing players at a terrible rate.

Kelly originally hurt his knee in a 13-6 loss a couple weeks ago in Cincinnati, and it has kept him out of action up until this point. Kelly returned to practice this week, participating in both Wednesday’s and Thursday’s sessions. He must have hurt his knee even further in that Thursday practice, bad enough for the Patriots to shut him down for the rest of the season.

When Kelly was healthy, he was an important player on a banged up New England defensive unit. He was solid in the run game, while also bringing an element of a pass rush to the middle of that defense. Kelly racked up 22 total tackles in five games played, along with 2.5 sacks. After Vince Wilfork went down with an Achilles injury in week four, Kelly became the main guy that the Patriots leaned on, to produce on the inside. The hope was, Kelly would be able to return to the field in the near future, giving New England a solid pair of defensive tackles in Isaac Sopoaga and Kelly.

When did Vollmer go on IR?
We're losing too many players.

Add Ninkovich and Gregory to that list. Questionable to return

Holy crap it always seems like this team is on the verge of imploding

We're losing players at an alarming clip, but the younger guys and other replacements are picking it up, and winning.

Blount is one of my favorites to watch on this team. I always thing hes going to get 3 yards because he looks so slow but then he goes off for 10+

And there he goes getting a TD when it looked like he was getting a few

Well that is the Tom Brady this team needs. Very impressive win for the Pats and finally the offense looks great. Hopefully Nink and Gregory are not serious injuries.
