QB Tom Brady limited in practice
By Lee Schechter | Special to ESPNBoston.com | October 10, 2014

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/i ... kle-injury
In the event that Brady cannot start for the Patriots, rookie quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the only other quarterback on the team's roster, will play in his place. Garoppolo came in during the Patriots' blowout loss to Kansas City in the fourth quarter and went 6-for-7 for 70 yards and a touchdown pass to tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Elsewhere on the injury front, the Patriots could be without Brady's man in the middle, rookie center Bryan Stork. Stork suffered a concussion on Thursday and did not participate in Friday's practice. Stork is listed as questionable. If Stork cannot play, the Patriots will have to shift around an offensive line that appeared to have finally found some continuity.

Cornerback Brandon Browner (ankle) did not participate in practice for the second straight day, putting his status for Sunday, which would be his first regular-season game for the Patriots, in jeopardy.

Other players listed as questionable include linebackers Jamie Collins (thigh) and Dont'a Hightower (knee), defensive lineman Dominique Easley (shoulder/knee) and wide receiver and core special teamer Matthew Slater (shoulder).

Defensive end Chandler Jones (shoulder) and safety Devin McCourty (rib) have been limited in practice all week and are probable for Sunday's game.

Core special teamer Nate Ebner (finger) and rookie offensive lineman Cameron Fleming (finger) already have been ruled out of the game.

I'd be really pissed if Browner was out because he can't learn the defense, and not at him. They're saying that's not the reason but if it is they need to cut the crap. We hear way too many times that the offense or defense is too difficult to learn.

Tom Brady will start vs. Bills
By Adam Schefter | ESPN | October 12, 2014, 11:44 AM ET

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, despite being listed as questionable with an ankle injury, will start Sunday against the Buffalo Bills....

Elsewhere on the injury front, the Patriots will be without Brady's man in the middle, rookie center Bryan Stork. Stork suffered a concussion on Thursday and did not participate in Friday's practice. Stork was listed as questionable Friday before being downgraded Saturday. The Patriots will have to shift around an offensive line that appeared to have finally found some continuity.

They heard me I guess. Williams just had the dumbest penalty. Pushing Edelman in the end zone. That's hilarious

Solder is trash.

Guess Mankins made him look better than he was.

I liked Vollmer and Solder, the bookends. But for crying-out-loud, protect the QB!

I came away from today's game with
1. Brandon Lafell does not suck
2. Dealing Mankins was not a great idea
3. Tom Brady doesn't suck either

I think this is a decent team. I like Wright and with LaFell, Adelman and Gronk and a decent running game and assuming Tom and get the ball out that side of the ball can get on track. The D isn't what I expected but I guess a great D in Oct. that sucks in Dec. doesn't mean a damn thing.

not sure i agree with #2. mankins for all his attitude and leadership was a turnstile last year. tim wright is starting to emerge as a move tight end that we've sorely missed. the Oline had a rough start but the last two games have been way better in pass protection. brady had all day on some of those deep throws. and yes, brady does not suck, when he gets that kind of time gee it's amazing how well he can throw the deep ball all of a sudden.

we need mayo back for the playoffs. ridley too. i hope white gets a chance for some carries over bolden, i've not been impressed with bolden lately.

I'm on the fence with Ridley. Last year he was a great runner but fumbled too much. This year, he hasn't fumbled, but hasn't looked that sharp.

I think Mayo is the far bigger loss, but also something that can be overcome. He's a big run stuffer, but luckily this league has turned into a passing game, and we can place someone like Tavon Wilson, or that Skinner kid in there.

This offense has been on point the last two games. Looks like they got their crap turned around. As much as I loved the defensive years, I can't begin to say how much more I enjoyed watching Brady and co. put up points circa 2007-2012. I've been bored to tears this season for some of these games. Seeing Brady air it out to Tyms, and Lafell break free, and gronk is so much better.

Why did Wright play so little?
