The Patriots say goodbye to Super Vince

Post#1 » by sully00 » Fri Mar 6, 2015 3:46 am

I don't know that I have ever done a player appreciation thread. Vince Wilfork has been my favorite Patriot since the day we drafted him. I love bad body dudes and Vince is their champion. When he slid to the Pats in the draft awesome day and since then those character issues have been nothing but a revelation. He had his ups and downs and his contract issues but this guy was a Patriot to the bone and as great a guy off the field you could hope for. I don't think any player represented this organization, including Brady, as well and as much as Big Vince. As much as I hope that this isn't really good bye, if It is, I raise a glass to the Patriot career of Vince Wilfork. 75 is what it is all about thanks Vince.

Great player. Stand-up guy.

Can't they just resign him in a week?

They have to get under the cap prior to the market being set on guys like Revis and McCourty, and for all we know, this is just bookkeeping.
