Right now it looks like they're losing a hell of a lot more than they're taking it. It's hard to get excited over guys like Chekwa...

Scott Chandler is a weird pickup in my eyes. I like him as a player and he has been Wes Welker-esque in that he has killed us when we've played the Bills, but I really thought Tim Wright would be taking on a much larger role this year.
He and Tom seemed to have a solid rapport and he's the kind of "move" tight end that I'd expect across from Gronk.
If we can run that kind of twin towers type 2 tight end set that created great mismatches with Gronk and Chandler that worked so well before Hernandez started killing people I won't complain. I just feel like that money might have been spent better *cough* secondary *cough*. But trust in Bill I shall.

I thought the same about Wright but I have no idea why they signed this guy when they have him. I don't know, maybe they see something in Chandler because he still put up okay stats with having a crappy QB. Reminds me too much of the Jake Ballard signing though, minus the injury.

Pats looking at WR DeVante Parker from Louisville. The only thing is they're saying he's mostly a top ten pick

Not a fan of Brady not going to the Whitehouse.

It reminded me of when Thomas skipped the whitehouse visit too so I'm almost at the couldn't care less point. I'm not sure what Brady was actually doing but we all know Thomas did it for political reasons. Either way he has a right to not go and it'd be even less of a story if it was someone like Wright.

Yeah, but Thomas is a crazy individual who likely wouldn't have gone if it was Bush. Brady went to the Whitehouse with the team every other championship. Sup with that?
He should have lied and said it was a family emergency, not that he needed to be with family because of his busy schedule. That's a weak excuse and disrespectful to the leader of our country.
But you're right its his choice and I respect that, but this reeks of something else to me. I think he might run for office in some capacity after the Patriots, and as a republican, he probably didn't want to have photos paling around with Obama.
Oh, and Obama's joke about deflation was pretty stupid and disrespectful as well. I wonder if he did it because Brady didn't show up, haha.
I love Brady and Truth more than a man should, but I would probably hate Brady if I wasn't a Patriots fan if I'm being honest.
Anyway, any news about potential acquisitions?

I haven't seen anything lately about acquisitions and that's not really a good thing because they definitely need players in the secondary. I'm not too thrilled about the starting secondary being Logan Ryan, Arrington, Chung, and McCourty.
As far as draft who knows.

Glad I am staying up to watch the Pats trade their first rounder. It's like an annual tradition! At least we get to keep hearing them say "the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots"!

Malcom Brown is awesome. I can't wait for him and Easley and Jones to dominate in the future.
Now lets go get a corner.

I know nothing about these guys but did they seriously draft a long snapper in the 5th round? I know Aiken's a FA but I'm sure they could have gotten a LS somewhere else?

Talking heads are saying Brady could get a 4-8 game suspension? Is that really possible? That's the season if so. I was thinking 1-2 games max and a heavy fine. Ugh.
