Brady took every single rep with the starting offense. Jimmy Garoppolo, who may be the team’s starting quarterback for four games, didn’t take one snap with the startrts, or throw a single pass.
Brady was once again saddled with an offense that was minus Julian Edelman and Aaron Dobson and today was also missing Brian Tyms. (Tyms and fullback Eric Kettani were the Pats' two new missing bodies today.) But that didn’t matter. He efficiently used all of his remaining targets, completing passes to 14 different players. Yes, I said 14. Even Zach D’Orazio and Jonathan Krause reeled in one pass each from Brady. Hell, Krause’s was a touchdown.
Brady’s best work was all of his work. I saw him throw only one ball that I found questionable: A low bullet slightly behind Rob Gronkowski on a crossing route. It clanged off Gronk’s hands. But other than that, it was one highlight after another.
Jimmy Garoppolo needs more snaps with Tom Brady ban looming

[H]ere’s the problem. Jimmy Garoppolo was a spectator for the Brady fireworks display. Jimmy G watched all the 11-on-11 drills. He watched all the 7-on-7s as Brady put on a show. He did not throw a single pass during those sessions.
That would be fine if there wasn’t a four-game suspension still lurking for Brady. Whether Brady is winning in court at this stage or not, the four-game suspension — or a reduced version as part of a settlement — remains in the realm for the time being. Like it or not, that’s the reality coach Bill Belichick has to face.
Garoppolo didn’t exactly look ready for prime time during the preseason opener against the Packers last week. He’s still hesitant and uncertain in the pocket and needs time to work out the progressions and process what he’s seeing from the defense.
He can’t do that cheering on Brady from the sideline. He can’t do that if he’s not getting quality time with the starters.
