I think he or the Patriots probably played a part in deflating the footballs, but the NFL had a flimsy case and went ego-crazy.

We're going 16-0 and the average margin of victory will be 28 points. Brady's going to tear every team on our schedule a new one just to ram it down Goodell's throat. I wouldn't want to be any member of the Colts on that Sunday night game. They're going to get slaughtered.

Who knew that "more than likely knew" wasn't solid enough evidence to give someone the same suspension as a performance enhancing drug violation? Oh yeah, everyone except **** Roger Goodell.

NFL got spanked on the arbitration process and lack of notice, and rightfully so.

Brady lucky that they were grossly incompetent, though. "More likely than not" would have been an acceptable threshold otherwise.

The judge didn't even look at 3 additional huge points undisclosed at this point.

He got to the issue of not giving notice and threw it out on that alone without even preceeding further.

NFL got bent over without even a hello on this one.

Yes, and if the case is remanded by the 2nd circuit on the procedural issues, Berman can address the others, one of which goes to Goodell's personal bias.

Brady will have retired by the time the appeals in this case have been exhausted. Eventually it will cost the owners 50 million plus in legal fees and will also cost taxpayers millions in salaries and court costs.

Judge rules in favor of Tom Brady in Deflategate; NFL appeals decision

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/13570716/tom-brady-new-england-patriots-wins-appeal-nfl-deflategate

NEW YORK -- A federal judge erased New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension Thursday for the Deflategate controversy that the NFL claimed threatened football's integrity.

U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell went too far in affirming punishment of the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, criticizing him for dispensing "his own brand of industrial justice." Brady has insisted he played no role in a conspiracy to deflate footballs below the allowable limit at last season's AFC Championship Game.

P.S.: Kiss It, Goodell!!!

His legal team stated what their main arguments were. If you had to break it down to four main ones, they would be:

* Lack of advance notice over "being generally aware" of others' wrongdoing being a suspension-worthy offense for a player, rather than a penalty to team.

* Lack of opportunity to confront witnesses/accusers and interview Pash in arbitration.

* Lack of equal access to investigation documents in Wells Report.

* The inherent unfairness of Goodell serving as an neutral arbitrator.

Berman cited the first 3 of them as being “significant legal deficiencies” in his ruling, perhaps wisely leaving the 4th out in order to make his decision more appeal-proof.

All this BS would not have happened years ago....

It is and was a product of modern times......There was no crime here....except in the minds of the haters.....

Too bad the judge couldn't make all the haters destroy their cell phones and not allow them to purchase another one...

Glad to see the voice of reason win out over the kangaroo court of public opinion....

Now if the public would only realize how dangerous and possibly incriminating in the court of public opinion that that little cellphone in you pocket really is...

And how much the modern world has changed for the worse because of them......

Respect to you for sticking with the Heat after Bron left, but that said:

When I said the next fool who comes in here spouting nonsense was getting reported, I was not joking, reported both of your posts.

There is a GENERAL NFL FORUM. Are you daft posting that junk in our team forum?

I guess you would know about cheating with that 06, championship, but **** it. Reported. Don't come around here again.
